Aliana followed after him quietly. She was worried that even in his madness he wasn't do much. Then again it could be a good thing.
Aliana followed after him quietly. She was worried that even in his madness he wasn't do much. Then again it could be a good thing.
Hatta looked at her again for a moment, then continued into the trees.
Aliana hurried after him. Her heart was racing and she continued to follow him. She didn't want to loose him.
Hatta kept walking, laughing to himself.
Aliana continued to follow after. She made sure Hatta's back was completely turned to her before she crept up behind him and lightly touched his shoulder. She wanted to hug him but her frayed nerves prevented that, "Hatta?"
Hatta jumped, turning to her with wild, wide eyes.
Aliana stepped back in both fear and shock. She yelped out, "Sorry!"
He blinked at her uncomprehendingly. This close, it was easy to see that his mouth was moving, mumbling something to himself over and over and over.
Aliana could tell he was trying to say something. She bit her lip and forced herself to say, "What, what are you saying?"
He blinked at her, and shook his head quickly.
Aliana took a step towards him. It wasn't much but it seemed like enough, "You, you can trust me. What's, what's wrong?"
Hatta shook his head again, staring at her and mumbling.
Aliana couldn't tell what he was trying to say. But she took a breath and said, "I-I'm not going to leave you alone. Even, even if that's what you want me to do."
Hatta stared at her, blinking rapidly.
Aliana looked to Hatta. She was about ready to just breakdown, but held herself together. Barely, "Hatta, mad chatter, whoever you are. Will you please just talk to me?"
Hatta shook his head slightly, and started walking again.
Aliana felt like crying. God why was she so emotional. This was what Hatta could be like for the rest of his life or worse. Aliana didn't want that. She followed after him feeling a tear slip down. As she followed after she reached up to wipe it away.
He was still mumbling. Something about time and Ravens and darkness and heads and blood.
Aliana didn't like what she finally heard Hatta say. She knew this new information would only feed her ever growing nightmares.
Mumbling something about darkness and magic and something pounding and blood.
Aliana hated what he was saying. She finally built enough courage that in between his mumbling she blurted out, "Tell me a riddle."
Hatta stared at her, blinking.
Aliana looked up at Hatta and repeated herself softly, "Tell me a riddle, please?"
He shook his head. "Can't."
Aliana blinked once. That was the first time he had spoken directly to her, "Then, then I'll tell you a riddle. Is that okay?"
