Aliana wouldn't lie about wanting to go back to the shallow end. Or shallower end. She stuck close to Hatta once her feet could touch the bottom.
Aliana wouldn't lie about wanting to go back to the shallow end. Or shallower end. She stuck close to Hatta once her feet could touch the bottom.
Hatta smiled lightly at her, holding her gently.
Aliana leaned against him and took slow breaths in and out. In and out.
Hatta held her gently. "I've got you." He said softly.
Aliana blinked a few times as her heart steadied somewhat, "Sorry. I, I thought I could do it."
"It's fine!" Hatta replied immediately. "Really."
Aliana looked up at him, "I, okay. Thank you."
Hatta nodded. "You're welcome."
Aliana bit her lip before quietly saying, "I, I think I'm ready to try again."
Hatta nodded. "Alright." He gently helped her to lay back in the water again.
Aliana took slow deep breaths as she went to try and float on her back oncr more. She had to keep reminding herself she was safe. Hatta wouldn't let her drown.
Hatta slowly let go to let her float on her own, but stayed close, just in case.
Aliana kept her eyes closed and opened them immediately when Hatta let go. She had to make sure to focus on floating and keeping her body on top of the water. She was trying, really trying not to panic.
Hatta looked down at her. "Relax." he murmured gently. "Stop fighting the water."
Aliana let out a slow breath and attempted to relax her body. She wasn't sinking yet though in her mind she knew it would be only moments until she was under the water.
Hatta kept an eye on her carefully. "Deep breaths." he said.
Aliana kept breathing in and out deeply. She kept an eye on Hatta as she felt herself sinking slowly. God no, please don't sink now.
Hatta gently put his fingers on the small of her back, pushing upward to keep her from sinking. "Spread your arms and legs a little bit."
Aliana nodded and did so slowly. As if moving them would cause her to sink faster despite Hatta holding her up, "O-Okay."
Hatta held her gently. He reached over and lifted her chin gently.
Aliana felt her breathing hitch slightly not expecting Hatta to do that. Her face blushed red, but she kept herself in the same position.
Hatta let go after a moment, one hand still lightly supporting her back.
Aliana kept her chin up and only glanced at Hatta once before looking back to the ceiling.
Hatta smiled at her.
Aliana gave him a little smile back, "I think I can do it on my own again."
