"I… I-I…" Robin wasn't entirely sure what he was trying to say. He ran off to his room and curled up on the bed, shaking. Hazel was right. He wasn't brave enough to go.
"I… I-I…" Robin wasn't entirely sure what he was trying to say. He ran off to his room and curled up on the bed, shaking. Hazel was right. He wasn't brave enough to go.
Hazel groaned and went outside, twisting the ring in her fingers. Should she really go back?
Robin stared out of his window at some birds. He opened it and let them in, wanting some company.
As Hazel lay in the grass, she heard a car approach. Looking up, she gasped, and ran inside. "ROBIN!" She screamed. "We have to go! Its Grandpa Davidson!"
(Grandpa Davidson was their original guardian, and he was abusive)
"W-what? Where are we supposed to go?!" Robin stood up, the birds still on his shoulders.
Hazel sighed. "The ring."
"I thought you didn't want me to go?" He jumped when he heard Grandpa Davidson yelling angrily for them, sounding very drunk. He heard footsteps coming towards their room.
"We don't have a choice!" she hissed, grabbing his arm. Just as the door was swung open, she put the ring on her finger, and she and Robin were back in the sheep field.
Robin was covering his eyes, anticipating his former guardian to come in. He looked up nervously when he heard no more footsteps, seeing the field instead.
Hazel let out a breath and lay down on her back.
"H-how do we know when we can go back? I know he saw us, I just know it… I think I heard him screaming before we vanished…" Robin shuddered.
"I don't know, but… a while." hazel said sadly.
"He's very stubborn… h-he could stay for hours, even days looking for us… and time… I-I think it flows differently here."
Hazel sighed. "I know your right. But we can't go back. We have to find a safe place to stay. Maybe we could ask the sheep?"
Robin nodded and looked around for a sheep near them, waving it over. "Er, h-hello. Do you know if there's somewhere safe we could stay for a while?"
The same sheep from earlier turned to them, swallowing some grass. "Oh hello." it said. "your back. And I suppose you could stay in the sheep-fort until you get your own." it said with a shrug.
"Thank you. H-hopefully we'll be out of your way soon…"
