Hazel stared at Hashy. "We should call grandpa." she said, changing the subject.
Hazel stared at Hashy. "We should call grandpa." she said, changing the subject.
"No." Hashy shook her head.
"Why not?"
"Grandpaw doesn't like me."
Hazel rolled her eyes. "I'm calling him" she said, and left for downstairs.
"No! Hazy!" Hashy whimpered.
Hazel stopped. "Fine Hashy. But I'm studying this ring." she declares, taking it and running to her 'study'. ( Hazel is SUPER smart )
(Should Robin be about 12 then maybe? What relation does he have to this family as well? Cousin, brother, etc…)
( He should be my brother, and Olivia's family had to take in both of us )
(Okay, sounds good ^^. Should he just be reading in Hazel's study? That seems like a Robin thing to do lol like oh hi Hazel I'm in your secret study by the way you've got some pretty noice books)
( yes that sounds good )
Robin had picked the lock on Hazel's study and was reading some of her books, trying to teach himself Latin unsuccessfully. Why did Hazel even have Latin books? He didn't think she even knew the language. He sighed in frustration, poring over the book as he had for the past hour.
Hazel walked in, and glared at Robin. "Robin I told you I'd LEND you books! You don't have to sneak in." she grumbled, and shoved him out of her chair.
Robin pulled himself to his feet and brushed off his clothes, looking a bit sheepish. "Sorry, Hazel. You were in the attic and it kind of creeps me out… I didn't want to go ask."
Hazel rolls her eyes and pulls out the ring. "Have you seen the before?" she questioned.
Hasty followed close behind.
Robin gingerly took the ring, inspecting it before shaking his head. "No, I don't think so. Maybe it belongs to Liv's mom?" He handed the ring back to Hazel.
Hazel shook her head. "I don't know. Would you hand me some of the books on family history?" she asked, and began to rummage around the shelves.
Robin searched through his pile of books, extracting the ones Hazel needed and handing them to her
"Thanks." she said, and then she began to flip through the pages.
Robin settled himself on the floor and continued reading the Latin book, understanding it no more than he had the first time.
"I don't see anything…" she muttered. "WAIT!" she said, leaping to her feet. "I found a picture! This originates from our French side! Lets see… un anneau de beaucoup de beauté. C'est précieux et il a été transmis pendant des années. That's something about it being precious and passed down for years."
Robin jumped a bit when Hazel yelled, startled. "How many languages do you even know? Also, could you teach me Latin? I have no idea what these books are talking about." He held up the book he'd been trying to read
"I can't count them all, but yes I guess I can teach you Latin."
"Cool." Robin looked at the book's cover again. "What were you saying about the ring? Beauty… sest precious, pendant something?"
