(Jessie is trying to stay calm)
(Luke is just crying as he bleeds, so…)
(We could just have all the doors unlock?)
(and maybe we're all supposed to meet somewhere? idk)
(Hmm… I dunno.)
(Not playing as my character, this is just narrative to move the story along)
A voice, decisively female with a metallic tinge rings out across the facility. Attention all patients. You are to meet in common room 1A-B. Lights will lead your paths. The doors to your rooms will be unlocked, and food will be provided once everyone is in the common room. Medical attention will also be provided. As quickly as the voice had come on, it snaps off.
Luke starts when he hears the voice. He panics and shoves himself against the wall in terror. When he heard the door open, he slowly crawls forward, his heart thudding in his chest. He was so scared, but he had to get this done.
Elijah flinched at the voice. He heard a click, and his door unlocked beneath him. He took one last glance into his bare room before rushing into the hallway, looking for any other "patients."
Jessie froze at the sound of the voice and his heart pounded hard. When the door clicked open, he inched forward, not entirely sure if this was a trick of his mind or not. After a few seconds of debate, Jessie left the room and followed the lights to the common area that everyone was called to.
Harper stood up and walked, almost like a robot, out of the room.
Luke trembles as he stands. His hands were bloodied and bruised as he walks. He felt so weak, so sick. His eyes were red and puffy with tears.
Elijah walked towards the common room slowly, taking in the appearance of everyone. One of them walked like a soldier, another looked hesitant, and the third was crying and trembling. He decided to approach the third one. "Hey.. are you alright? Do you know where we are?" He asked, unsure.
(He's talking to Luke btw)
Luke looks up with dead eyes, shrugging, "I don't…" he whispers, his voice cracking. "But I need to get home… my brothers…" he raises a bloodied hand to his mouth.
"Hey," Elijah said, putting a hand on his shoulder. "We'll find out where we are, and then we'll get out of wherever this is, and back to our homes. I promise." Elijah didn't know why he had tacked on the last part, he didn't even know who he was talking to. "I'm Elijah, by the way. Elijah Gray."
Nia scrambled to walk in a straight line towards the door, her heart thudding against her chest and ringing in her ears. With a weak push, she left the dungeon of her room and exited into the hallway. She stumbled and held onto the wall for support, the floor swaying beneath her feet.
Luke gives a tiny smile, "Luke. Luke Evans…" he says softly, nodding in thanks to Elijah.
Elijah smiled back. He glanced at Luke's hand. "I'm sorry if I'm overstepping, but can I ask why your hand is bloody?"
Luke looks at his hands, "I was trying to get out…" he mutters, "When I get upset, or angry or scared I freak out, sometimes I manage to hurt myself in the process." He answers, looking down.
"When we get to the common area/room thing, we can find a bathroom to wash the blood off, alright?" Elijah lifted Luke's chin up. "And hey, it's okay. You're okay."
Luke nods managing a small smile, "Okay…" He whispers softly.
Elijah smiled again. "Okay." He whispered back.
Luke relaxes calming down a bit. Oddly enough he felt a bit safer, thanks to Elijah. He takes a few breaths.
"So.." Elijah said, trying not to sound awkward. "Where are you from?"
"Italy." Luke says, smiling a bit.
"I'm from New York," Elijah said, his hand fidgeting at his side.
