@Rvan group

((Alrightio, so would y’all be okay if we just started, and if we need more people before the first vote, we can pause the rp and open back up again?))

Somewhere in an ocean, there was an island. An island not on any map or radar, lacking distinctive features to the naked eye. But this island had a purpose. Individuals lay around the island’s edge, each of them basking in the warmth of the sun on the beach. Each of them unconscious, but now slowly waking. They were placed an even distance apart from each other, so far that they’d be just out of sight from each other taking into account the curve of the island. Each person had a small backpack filled with identical canned foods, such as beans or soup, and a trinket that seemed personal to them.

It was a lovely set up, really. There were small trails from the beach, not worn down by foot traffic but by a machine -likely a small chainsaw- evident by the clean cut limbs of branches and the like. Each trail led to the center of the island, which was really the star of the show. It would be only a matter of time before the individuals woke from their artificial slumber and found out why they were here.

The light screamed in his eyes as they slowly opened. Lifting his hand up to cover the sun, David glanced around as he laid there on the ground. An airy feeling blanketed over him while the sleepiness started to wear off. Uneasiness conflicted with the delicate sense as he sat himself up to get a glance of the area.

It felt like moments ago when he was downstairs in the apartment. There's no toys or papers scattered all over the place. Plants were everywhere though. No little radio on playing classical music. The only sound was the creatures and water in the background. And there's no white roof above him, a layer of sky blue laid above with clouds.

David sat there still looking around. His mind tried to piece together the limited pieces he had. What could he do at this moment? Why is there other people close to him? Only way to find out, he thought to himself. Putting one hand on the ground, he steadily got on one foot then stood on both. After standing for less than a few seconds, he took a step back to prevent falling. David noticed something behind him, he turned to only see a backpack. The man picked it up by the handle then shook it; the bag felt light but had some items in it.

After some debate on whether or not to open it, he decided that now was not the time. What David decided to do was throw one strap over his shoulder then go over to the person that is the closest to him. In times of unknowings, it's better to gather in numbers, right?

Azami woke up facedown on the sand. Not exactly unusual, for her, at least. The first things she noticed, besides the sand, were a splitting pain in her head and a bag beside her.
Slowly, the young woman sat up, spitting sand out of her mouth. Azami took a deep breath, taking in the familiar scent of sea air. Although, this situation was different, however familiar the setting.
"Guys?" Azami called out weakly. Her voice was hoarser than usual, and it hurt her throat to talk. Ignoring this, she focused on the bag. It was full of canned foods, something she wasn't very used to. Digging around, she pulled out her journal. Frantically, Azami flipped through the pages, making sure that none of the small pictures inside had fallen out. She counted them off, one by one.
Her with her brothers as kids, her and her friends, everybody on a boat, and Azami as a child with her adoptive father.
She let out a sigh of relief, all her pictures were accounted for, and the journal itself seemed perfectly intact. Glancing at her surroundings, Azami noticed only one odd thing; the foliage near the beach was cut, making a trail. To where? Only time would tell. The blue-haired woman stood up, albeit shakily, and, clutching her bag, made her way down the path.

Molly woke to the sounds of waves and the heat of the sun shining on her face, it was oddly peaceful for a moment before panic set in. She didnt quite remember what happened but she knew she hadn't been on a beach. She sat up quickly, sending a wave of lightheadedness through her head, she looked to her surroundings as she shook the sand from her hair and slowly stood up, there was thick foliage with a clear path cut through it and on the other side was what she could only assume was the ocean, nothing in sight but blue meeting blue.
