Vien waved back, still smiling faintly even as Vin left. Once the other had gone he let his head rest in the palm of one hand as he turned to the TV. Well, would you look at that. He had a friend
Vin walked down the street with his hands in his pockets. Friends aren’t too bad, I suppose.
(should we do a timeskip to the next time they're at the bar?)
(Yyyas)
Vien was behind the counter as usual, leaning against it with his head in the palm of one hand as he looked out across the bar. He had opened himself a beer, sipping it absently as he looked out across the empty bar
The door’s bell tingled and Vin sat down in his usual seat, looking more defeated than usual.
“The norm, please.” He said in a flat tone of voice.
Vien looked up at Vin, the usual false smile he used for customers falling to a slight frown. "What's wrong? You look like someone kicked your puppy," he said before turning to make Vin's drink
“Well, I did what you said. I went on a date.” He looked even more devastated. “And the girl wanted to hook up with me, and I wasn’t attracted to her whatsoever. Then our waitor was really hot, so I think I’ve established my sexuality.” He took the drink and chugged it. “The waitor wasn’t very happy, when I started hitting on him, either. Instead, he ignored me for the rest of the time and flirted with my date instead. I just left…” He sighed.
"Aw, I'm sorry to hear that," Vien said, putting a hand on Vin's shoulder. "Tell you what, drinks are on the house tonight," he said, trying to give Vin a reassuring smile
Vin glanced up at him through his doughy eyes. “Thanks. I can always count on you to be here.” He set his empty glass down and put his head on his arms.
"You know what? I've got just the thing to cheer you up." Vien walked to the back, returning a few minutes later with a bottle of top-shelf liquor. "Try some of this," he said before pushing the bottle over to him
Vin gave it a brief ‘are-you-trying-to-kill-me’ look, but slowly reached out and grabbed it. He popped it open and took a drink. He didn’t put it down until it was empty.
“Damn. That’s good liquor. Are you sure you don’t want me to pay for it? That must’ve been really expensive.”
"Nah, that was something I stole from a party. Apparently rich bastards have the best liquor," Vien chuckled. He took a sip of his own drink, leaning against the counter as he did so
“Awesome. I’ve hardly ever had rich people liquor. Wonder why.” He pushed the empty bottle and cup forward. “More of the usual, please. I won’t deplete your store of rich people liquor.”
Vien took the glass, refilling it and tossing the empty bottle before passing it back to Vin. "You know, I just can't understand how that waiter blew you off. He must have been totally blind or something."
Vin smiled and blushed a little (totally fuckin brutish man blushing I can’t that is like my favorite thing on the planneettt).
“I think he was just straight. Plus, I think anyone would push me away if they had the chance (ok I had to rephrase that because it sounded hella dirty so don’t judge me).”
(( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) lmao)
Vien sighed dramatically. "Ah, the curse of a gay man. Don't worry, everyone falls for a straight guy at some point in their life," he assured him. He grinned a bit at the sight of Vin blushing. Well, isn't that the most adorable thing
(I’m still fucking fangirling I should tell people before I RP with them that I do this oml I’m awful)
Vin nodded a little and distracted himself from the intensifying heat in his face by drinking.
(don't worry lol)
Vien smirked behind his beer, suddenly glad he had worn one of his favorite button downs. "Say…How would you like to try and go out with an actual gay guy?" he suggested nonchalantly
Whatever Vin had been expecting, it wasn’t that. He inhaled half of his drink up his nose and coughed it out all over the place, but he didn’t care.
“Rea-really?” He stuttered, the color of red deepening in his face.
"Sure. If you want that is," Vien said with a shrug before handing him a towel. He rested his head in the palm of one hand, now leaning dangerously close to Vin
Vin mopped himself and the counter off, not leaning away from Vien. The color rose even more somehow when he imagined what Vien might be thinking about doing… a small voice in the back of his mind told him that he shouldn’t care.
Vin set the towel down and looked at Vien. “What… what should we do?”
"Well…this for starters," Vien hummed, his voice low and near gravelly. He gently took Vin's chin in one hand before leaning forward, their lips barely brushing in a near teasing way
Vin didn’t know what to think at all. The only thing that he did was put his arm down to stabilize himself in case he lost his balance. The only thing he didn’t feel, apart from intense nervousness, was discomfort.
Vien went to kiss him but pulled away, one of his odd grins spreading across his face. "Think we might have to save that for later," he murmured before sitting up straight again. He reached for his beer again, downing it quickly before tossing it in the trash
