Something in Vin was heartily disappointed, while he himself outside was just confused. Later?
Vien chuckled at the confused expression on Vin's face. "Relax, you dork. I meant later as in after we go do something. Movies, maybe, or a restaurant."
“Oh, yeah, right.” Vin said weakly and picked up his drink with shaking hands.
Vien looked at Vin, noticing the way his hands shook. "Are you alright?" he asked, now concerned he might have accidentally freaked Vin out. He hoped not, the poor guy had been through enough already
(Lol I went to go eat Sorry)
“Oh, yeah, I’m okay.” He sipped feebly at his drink, feeling foolish.
(np, I was eating too lol)
"Are you sure?" Vien asked, now faintly anxious that he had accidentally made Vin upset. He had a bad tenancy to worry about these sorts of things
Vin looked up and nodded. “I was just… um…” He turned redder and didn’t finish.
"What?" Vien pressed, now confused and worried. Though a look of realization quickly crossed his face before turning into a sort of knowing smirk. "What's going on in that pretty head of yours, hmm?"
Oh my god can he shut up now please??? This desperate thought emerged as he consequently dropped his phone so he had a reason to get his still reddening face out of Vien’s sight.
(oh my god sorry, I just had a freakout over a bug like latching onto my foot)
Vien snorted as Vin dropped his phone. He didn't think he had ever made someone this flustered before. "Aww, does the poor baby need his phone on a necklace?" he teased
(Oml ok I was about to ask if you were still alive lmao)
“Shut up, Vien!” Vin snapped suddenly, his face burning.
(fff and now I have to go)
Vien tensed up a bit at the way Vin snapped at him. "Uh…s-sorry," he stammered, unable to suppress his tics as he rubbed at the back of his neck
(Grrrrrrrr)
Vin sighed and straightened up. “Sorry. I shouldn’t have snapped.” He smiled a little at him.
(actually wait no I might have a bit)
"I-It's fine," Vien said, index finger twitching as he returned the smile weakly. He mentally chastised himself for tensing up as much as he had
(Okay then)
Vin regretted what he did immediately, and vowed silently that he’d try to never do it again. He quietly sipped his drink, feeling immensely bad.
"Sorry, I just don't do too well when people snap at me. It was m-my fault, I was teasing you," Vien said, biting the inside of his cheek as he looked off to the side
“Look, I’m really sorry.” He looked up at Vien, wondering what he could do to repay him. “Is there anything I could do to say I’m sorry?”
"You don't have to do anything, really," Vien assured him with a small laugh. "Like I said, it was my bad."
“It’s pretty obvious that I did something wrong. Look, I’ll pay for the drinks, then I’ll get out if your hair.” He pulled out his wallet.
"No, no, don't," Vien said frantically, pushing Vin's wallet back towards him. "I…Please don't leave," he said, his voice growing softer as he looked down at the counter sheepishly
"I wasn't planning on leaving, you dope," Vin mumbled as he pocketed his wallet. "I mean, only if you wanted me to, I would've."
Vien sighed, running a hand through his eternal bedhead before looking up at Vin. "I really, really don't want you to leave. I mean how often does anyone actually want to go out with the gay bartender who hasn't slept in a century?" he joked
(slept in a century meaning SLUMBER or another s word…? Puts hand on chin)
Vin didn't laugh, though. "I– I know, I just snapped at you, and it clearly scared you or something, so now I feel bad."
(?)
"It wasn't fear," Vien said softly, noticing that Vin was distressed. "It's just a reaction that I tend to have to loud noises. It's not your fault, really."
(nothing lol)
Vin shrugged. "Sure it wasn't, but I still feel bad. I startled you."
