"Nope," Vien replied, resisting the urge to smile. "Why?
"Nope," Vien replied, resisting the urge to smile. "Why?
“Curious.” He grinned at him before eating some shrimp. Vien was very easy to talk to, and he was also really funny.
"That all?" Vien said, now leaning against the table. He flashed Vin one of his crooked grins, something that he was aware tended to make him appear a bit more attractive
Vin gave him a look (of which he’s never given Vien before) and ate another shrimp.
Vien smirked a bit before returning to his food, taking a bite of crab as his free hand tapped absently against the wooden table
“Why did you smirk like that?” Vin eyed Vien suspiciously.
"No reason," Vien hummed, his gaze still fixed on his food. Though he couldn't help the small smile that quirked at the corner of his lip as he took another bite
Vin continued eating in silence, carefully keeping his eyes on the TV.
Vin continued eating in silence, carefully keeping his eyes on the TV.
Vien eventually finished his food, frowning a bit as he did so. "For that much money, that certainly wasn't much food," he said with a small frown
“No, not really.” Vin leaned forward and sat his plate down. “At least your crab wasn’t alive.”
(Sorry about the double response my Notebook.ai is being an ass.)
(yeah, application errors are fun)
Vien laughed at that. "Oh lord, I had that happen once. I used to live with a friend of mine by the coast, and I let him cook the crab for once. It didn't end well of course, because my crab started moving as soon as I poked it with my fork."
“Good thing you poked it first.” Vin laughed.
Vien stood up, taking their plates and tossing them before returning to the couch. He ran a hand through his eternally messy hair absently as he sat back against the couch
Vin had resumed his position from earlier; crossed legs and tucked in. He was squinting at nothing and he was hugging himself while he leaned forward.
Vien looked over at Vin, a small smile crossing his face at the way Vin was sitting. If he was being honest with himself, it was kind of adorable. "You sit oddly, you know?" he teased
“Hm? Oh, I don’t usually sit like this.” He sat back, still staring at the corner.
"I was just messing with you, relax," Vien said with a small laugh. An odd thought suddenly made its way into his mind. He didn't normally smile as much as this. Or at all, for that matter. So why was he doing so around Vin?
Vin glanced at him. “What’s up? You look like you’re thinking about something important.”
"Nothing, really," Vien said quickly, realizing that he was probably staring at Vin. He looked off to the side, a faint blush making its way across his face
“Alright, then.” He looked back over to the TV. I wonder what he was thinking about.
Vien glanced over at the clock, his eyes widening as he realized how late it was. "Crap, it's late. Do you need a ride home?" he offered
“Nah, I’ll just go back to the bar and get my car.” He stood up. “Thanks for the food and sympathy, Vien.”
"No problem," Vien said, a small smile working its way across his face. Vin had actually called him by his name, instead of Argo
I’ve always wondered how he would’ve reacted if I used his real name. Vin remarked as he saw the small smile.
“Well, see you tomorrow.” He waved goodbye and put his shoes on.
