(okie)
Lou’s hands trembled as he let out yet another shaky breath.
Okay I might need to tell him so he knows what he’s getting into, Lou thought, mentally punching himself. Though, he physically couldn’t bring himself to say it.
“A-anything,” he whispered, instead. If his mind was a being, it would have smacked him then and there.
Jay let out a quiet hum, studying Lou. "Anything?" He asked, arching an eyebrow at Lou. "Even if I said I wanted you to take me back to your house and do dirty things with me?" he smirked a little, tongue flicking out for a moment.
Lou choked on his breath and had to keep himself from screaming. He had no clue how to tell him now. Every single part of his mind was begging him to decline, but his heart was certainly in a different place. Almost literally as Lou felt it beating insanely fast.
“We’ll have to see, won’t we?” he chuckled, tugging for Jay to follow him. He lead the man through the city until they got back to his apartment and he pushed open the door.
(I have never RPed a character so blatantly flirtatious and I'm sitting here smirking lmaooo)
Jay was smirking and laughing as Lou led him through the city, even though his heart was racing in his chest at the maybe prospect of…this…with Lou. He held onto Lou's hand, smiling as they went inside.
(It’s great lol)
Lou’s apartment was warm and dimly lit. He refrained from turning any lights on as he hung his coat on the rack before the door. He shut it lightly as Jay entered, unable to stop smiling.
Bean happily trotted up and Lou patted him, but was realistically more occupied with the man beside him.
Jay made kissy noises at the puppy, then smiled over at Lou again, suddenly a little shy now that they were actually in Lou's house. He took a deep breath, taking off his jacket.
Lou took Jay’s hand again slightly firmer, telling Bean to “go to his bed.” The dog happily obliged, teetering off to Lou’s room.
Louis eyed his living room, seeing the barren coffee table and empty couch. There wasn’t much in the way of decorations, so it looked slightly bland, with a few pictures on the walls here and there.
But Lou could barely see straight as his heart was pounding. He gnawed on his bottom lip as he kept his eyes locked on Jay.
Jay smiled over at Lou. "So." he began, thinking for a moment. "How do you want to do this?" he stepped closer, looking up at Lou with a small smile.
“No clue,” he breathed, captivated by the man’s eyes. It wasn’t possible for him to look away and began to study the man’s face. Lou swallowed, suddenly aware of his shakiness.
Jay wrapped his arms around Lou's waist, looking up at the other male carefully. "Lou." He said softly, marching a finger up Lou's chest. "I'm not going to make you do anything with me if you don't want to."
“Well when you say it like that,” he whispered, laughing nervously. He gazed deeply into the man’s eyes, taking a deep breath and calming down just slightly. He ceased to shake now, feeling safe in Jay’s arms. “It doesn’t seem so troubling…”
Jay nodded a little bit. "Did you think I was going to make you?" he asked. "I won't make you. I mean…that doesn't mean I don't want it, but we haven't known each other that long, and I understand if you don't want to." his voice was gently, his hand resting on Lou's shoulder.
“You see,” he mumbled, taking the both of his arms and resting them across Jay’s shoulders. “I knew you wouldn’t. And, thank you for that. But…,” he trailed off quietly, his voice breaking.
(gtg for real now. Good night!)
Jay nodded. When Lou's voice broke, he frowned a little bit. "Oh, hey, it's okay." he soothed softly, running a hand through Lou's hair. "It's okay."
(Night!)
“That’s…,” Lou mumbled, smiling at the man. “That’s not what I meant.” He lifted a finger, tracing Jay’s jaw softly.
What the hell am I doing? his mind screamed. He’s going to drop me as soon as he figures out what I am… Like the rest of them.
"Oh." Jay looked a little embarrassed. "Right. Sorry." He let out a loose laugh. "Then…what do you mean?" He asked, looking up at Lou. He leaned into Lou's hand.
He smiled sweetly, feeling all of his nerves muffled by his heart.
“This,” he said softly. Then, without hesitation, he leaned in and kissed the man. His heart pounded as he touched Jay’s lips with his own.
Suddenly, Lou jumped back in time to the day prior. His head was spinning and he couldn’t see right.
He muttered to himself, looking around. He could see Bean asleep on the couch and his coffee cup sitting on the table. Lou began pacing nervously back and forth.
“What am I doing? What am I doing??” he repeated, walking back and forth hastily. He glanced over at Bean, who now had his eyes open and was wagging his tail.
Of course, Jay wouldn’t know Lou had left. He’d be carrying out whatever he had previously been doing. That was one of the perks of time travel.
“I have to tell him, right??” Lou asked no one in particular. “As great as this is… he has to know.”
Jay kissed Lou in return, eyes sliding shut as he tucked an arm around the Frenchman. He couldn't hardly believe it. That he had managed to stumble across someone like this. Lou seemed sweet and kind and yeah, maybe a little awkward, but so so gentle and Jay already knew that he wanted more of this, that he didn't just want this to be a one night stand.
Lou tapped his foot eagerly as he chewed on his thumb, mumbling to himself. Bean waddled to him and he picked up the pup, stroking him and returning to his pacing.
He looked down at the pup, abruptly stopping.
“I’ll just go back and tell him, right?” he asked. “It shouldn’t be that hard. If he’d stuck with me through all awkwardness I’ve been in this entire night… I don’t see why…”
He internally shouted, putting Bean down on the floor and jumping back to Jay.
His heart pounded harder as he was sucked back into the situation. He pleaded himself to stay there. Like that.
Instead, he pulled back. Yet, not enough to take his arms from around Jay.
“Listen,” he said softly. “I- I need to tell you something.”
Jay opened his eyes, looking up at Lou carefully. He raised his eyebrows a little. "Oh. You aren't really gay, are you." he replied, waiting to be told that they couldn't do this again, or that Lou was already taken by a boyfriend or girlfriend or something.
Lou laughed— pretty hard, even. He had to keep himself composed in the serious situation.
“You’re insane if you think I’m not,” he mumbled. “Thing is…”
He took a deep sigh, his mind silent for the first time in a while.
“I’m a time traveler.”
Jay smiled a little bit, and then at the second statement, he raised an eyebrow rather high. "You're…a time traveler." he echoed, disbelievingly. He stared at Lou, studying the other male carefully. "Prove it." he decided, giving Lou a challenging little grin.
“P-prove it?” he stuttered, clearly confused by Jay’s response. “Well, then. What time?”
Jay grinned. "Yeah." he shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know…you pick the time. Just prove it to me." he looked at Lou. He wasn't sure if he believed Lou or not. That was why he had asked for proof.
“Alright,” he said with a smile. “Let’s see if I can.”
Lou focused his energy on the man before him, and in an instant, they were standing on beautiful marble flooring, looking across a fountain to the lit up Eiffel Tower, bright lights shining against the night.
Lou took a deep breath, looking around with a smile. Women were wearing beautiful white dresses with ornate hats, almost wimple-like, as men escorted them along, wearing suits themselves. A few younger boys walked past in caps and vests, playfully pushing one another. The city was bustling.
“The 1900’s,” Lou breathed. “Pretty far jump.”
Louis looked down, seeing that his own outfit was not very off-putting for the time.
“Jay,” Lou mumbled, stepping slightly away from the man and raising his arm to the Eiffel Tower rising in the distance. “Welcome to Paris, 1905.”
