Jay shrugged a little. "I want to listen to the music a little longer. If that's alright?" he looked up at Lou, a faint smile still on his lips, hovering on his mouth. He sighed softly, listening to the slow, calm music. His foot started to tap to the beat. "You know…this music would be great for dancing to."
“Well then,” Lou said. He got a handle on his voice, having it come out as more a charming melody. He held out his hand, swaying back slightly. “Shall we?”
Jay straightened, a smile flashing across his face. "Of course, monsieur." He replied, taking Lou's hand, unable to erase his smile. He was blushing just a little bit, the makeup Marco had done still nearly perfect, impeccable and lovely.
Lou lead, actually a decent dancer. He swayed to the music drifting in, not doing anything to extreme but just simply feeling. He returned Jay’s smile with one of his own, unable to keep from doing so.
“D-Did I mention you look wonderful,” he said softly, stepping in on the balls of his feet. He laid his accent on thick, still hesitant to give the compliment.
Jay laughed a little, following Lou's lead and smiling shyly. "No, you didn't. But if I do, that's all thanks to Marco, who insisted that I wear makeup today." He shrugged his shoulders, smiling. "But thank you."
“You absoluetly do,” he said with a breathy laugh. Lou resisted the urge to ask about this mysterious Marco— he figured it would be better if he didn’t.
He looked up from his feet, seeing the city slowly light up as the sky began growing darker and darker. The city now glowed a soft yellow, shining down on streets and people dancing in the square. Though, where they were, just a stray lone street lamp illuminated their steps. Almost like a spotlight.
Jay smiled happily as he danced with Lou. He swayed his hips a little with each movement, looking around the city for a moment, then back at Lou. He closed his eyes contentedly, trusting Lou not to let him fall.
Lou sweetly gazed at the man, gently holding his hands and dancing slower.
If he could trust Lou this much, Lou wondered if he could do the same.
Maybe I should tell him? he asked himself, his facial expression unchanging. Suddenly, he narrowed his eyes.
If I told him, it might cause him to leave, he thought. I can’t risk that. Maybe… maybe I’ll let him know later. If anything happens.
Jay's eyes were still closed, so he didn't see Lou's eyes narrow. He opened his eyes after a moment, hips still moving to the beat, hands linked with Lou's. "Thank you. For this." He said softly.
At the sound of the man’s voice, Lou’s heart sped back up.
“I should be thanking you, really,” he mumbled. “I’ve been waiting for something like this. Someone…”
Someone like you, he finished in his mind. Lou cleared his throat, dismissing the last part. Not yet.
Jay smiled again, looking up at Lou. "Mm." he agreed softly. He kept his fingers linked with Lou's, but spun around and pressed his back to Lou's chest, looking up at the other male with a soft smile. "Guy like you shouldn't have much trouble finding someone." he replied with a shrug, still swaying to the music.
“Wish that was the case,” he whispered. “People like you don’t come around often.”
Lou’s arms wandered up until they rested on Jay’s shoulders. He draped them across, feeling the warmth of the man’s back. His skin tingled again at the sudden change in temperature.
Jay snuggled back into Lou's body, leeching off of the other man's warmth. "Well. That's too bad." he murmured, reaching up and placing his hands on Lou's, swaying with the music still.
Lou smirked at the man’s remark. “Sure is,” he whispered. “Sure is.”
He swayed slower with the song’s fluctuations, tapping one of his fingers to the beat. The cold night was no match for Lou’s happy demeanor. No amount of cold could keep him from feeling as content as he did now.
Jay chuckled softly, holding onto Lou's hands still as they swayed with the music. He closed his eyes as they swayed, letting out a quiet, soft breath.
He closed his eyes along with Jay, seeing absolutely no other time he would rather be in. Lou wished he could stay like that forever, however the song slowed to an end, finishing with a high note resonating from a saxophone. The next song started relatively upbeat.
As the next song began, Lou decided he would jump back to this moment multiple times. He had to keep himself from doing so already, as he looked down happily at Jay.
Jay started to move a little faster with the next song, his back still pressed to Lou's chest. He swayed with the beat from his head down in almost a wave motion. He kept his eyes closed and his hands resting on Lou's hands.
With the faster swaying, the cold air creeped in between the men. Lou shivered slightly more noticeable this time, but kept his position. He took one of Jay’s hands and spun him out in the slightest, curling back up around him to the drifting music.
Jay noticed the shiver, and snuggled up to Lou. "If you're cold, we can go." he murmured, eyes flicking to Lou's lips for a moment, then up at Lou's eyes again. He smiled a little bit, reaching up to slide a hand along Lou's cheek in a rather flirtatious manner.
Lou let out a shaky breath as the skin on his cheek tingled. “W-where?” he stuttered, his hand moving to where Jay’s had just been.
Jay's eyes sparked with mischief and a flirtatious light. "Depends." he replied quietly, eyes tracing along Lou's mouth again, then flicking back up. He pressed himself closer to Lou's, sliding his body along the other male's in an extremely flirtatious way.
Louis was definitely now back to his shaky, nervous self as his body flashed with heat involuntarily. He smiled charmingly, trying his best to return the flirting nature.
“U-up to you,” he breathed.
Jay let out a breathy chuckle, looking up at Lou and smirking just a little bit. He cupped Lou's cheek again, well aware that he was being very flirtatious, but not really wanting to stop. "Oh really?"
Lou bit his lip with a slight smile, pulling his coat down further. He raised his eyebrows, “Your choice… what do you want to do?”
He trailed the end of it off as more of a deep whisper.
He shrugged slightly. "Depends…what are you alright with doing?" he bit his lower lip just a little bit, raising his eyebrows up at Lou.
