Laima decided to have a fun day. She opened shop, spraying her place with fragrances.
Yeon soon arrived at the large office building that was being used as the MS-13 headquarters in the area. He showed his keycard to the new operative at the front, the younger man nodding his head in a sign of respect. He went to the elevator, clicking the button to the top floor and waiting as it went up.
Laima wondered what her newfound colleagues were doing - but there was a new customer in, a young man with a dark cloak - so she couldn't think about it.
"Good morning!" he said, settling into the pillow-laden chair customers were to sit in.
"Hello," Laima sweetly replied. "What do you desire? No, let me guess…"
Laima pretended to think, while meanwhile slipping her hand into her pocket and unsealing the thin purple bottle. To buy time.
"You're here… to find out who you'll marry!" she exclaimed. The man seemed amused, almost mocking, as he shook his head.
"Hm… the winning lottery number? Today's best steak?" Laima asked playfully. The man scoffed, shaking his head no. Laima could tell he was antsy to tell her - but she needed to keep guessing.
"It's the flyball, game, isn't it?" Laima asked. "Ah, no, wait. They don't play flyball or here, I think. Maybe that was somewhere else. But there, yes, they played flyball continuously… so the flyball game was always on their minds -"
"I'll tell you why I'm here." He said. "Possibly you know this mark?"
He held out his hand - on which an obvious mark of a peacock was. He grinned. "I'm here with my fighters to take you down, you traitor of a termite."
So when he stood up and promptly fell flat on his face, Laima vanished to the back of her room, muttering, "Ah yes, that was my next guess."
Dove felt a cloth get pressed to her mouth and she frowned, annoyed. When she woke up in the room, she turned to Rowan and sighed, "Maybe you could just ask next time?"
So while the fighters were stationed, waiting to hear from their leader whether the 'termite' had surrendered or needed to be ambushed, Laima was hurriedly packing her important spell sheets and bottles into a thick knapsack, also her traveling bag. She needed to get out quickly - she knew that the people outside would figure out soon that their leader was down, and then they'd come for her.
If she came back later, she'd be bait for sure. She couldn't come back. What did she need?
Enough supplies to keep the business going, her phone and taser, and her treasure - the gift from her market town - she was set.
She ran out the door, the only place in mind - away.
(If Roman needs to kidnap Laima, that's fine btw XD) She hopped around bridges, fleeing through the alleys and taking sharp turns, and when she reached some sketchy magic store that she had never seen in her life, she scaled the side wall up and found a groove in the wall which she fit herself into while trying to think.
Where could she go?
Oh yeah. The reason that the Peacocks came in the first place.
Laima opened her phone, slowly dialing Dove's phone number. Dove better allow her to stay over, or Laima would have some very harsh words with that teenager.
She waited for Dove to return the call.
(Btw is it Roman or Rowan)
(Btw is it Roman or Rowan)
(its Roman but I keep writing Rowan and honestly I don't even know why XD)
Roman smiled, "I didn't know you were that inclined towards me."
"Not really, I just don't like being drugged." Dove rolled her eyes.
Laima cursed as the call went to ringtone. No, she refused to believe that this new coworker of hers was untrustworthy - she used her best judgment on this. Also, there was money and stealing on the line.
"Did you take my phone?" Dove put a hand on her hips.
Roman looked guilty, "Maybe." he gave it back to her, "Sorry."
Dove took the phone, "I swear, you're the worst criminal mastermind I've ever met." Roman frowned and walked out of the room.
Laima sweated as she dialed Dove. Just one more time, she promised herself. Just one more time and she would give up and do something productive like stealing herself some apricots.
(Can I join?)
(Do I just instantly kill every rp I enter?)
(No, go ahead, join!)
Yeon walked into his bosses office, where the older man sat at his desk.
“Yeon,” the man said with a thick Hispanic accent, “What a wonderful surprise. Tell me, what happened to you reporting here last night?”
“I got caught up with another lead, fortunately.”
“Oh really? Inform me.”
So, Yeon told his boss about everything that had happened the night before. He didn’t exactly want to tell, but it was considered treason if he kept things from the others.
(Welcome to the RP!) Ringtone. Again. No. Dang. Way. Was she seriously not answering?
Laima paused just for a nanosecond to listen for noise before throwing her body off the ledge, landing on her feet and sprinting off her rage. Laima realized too late that she didn't know where Dove lived. Or Yeon. At least they didn't know her (former) place of inhabitance.
She bumped into people sporadically, stealing everything she could see, grinding her teeth all the while. She had to get out of this city fast and to the next one and set up shop again. She wouldn't let money or stealing convince her like this anymore, she explained to herself.
“Mi hermano, gracias,” the older man said to Yeon. Yeon nodded proudly and left, heading back outside. He got into his car and drove into the main area of town, his window down so he could feel the breeze.
Laima ran through the crowd, uncaring about what part of town she was getting into. The main area. Good for advertising her store, but the people there went to certified doctors and physicians and psychologists before considering to visit here. What a bore and waste of money when she could help them much faster. So she didn't bother coming here much. No matter. Money was money, and it was greater here.
Yeon parked his car on the side of the road, and he got out and paid the meter. He brushed his his brown hair back using his fingers and adjusted his leather jacket before making his way through the crowd.
Laima took care not to look like she was purposefully bumping into people. Still, she blindly swiped shiny things from people's wrists, back pockets, shoes, constantly. So when she glimpsed what looked like Yeon, she stopped in her tracks. She looked closer. Yup, it was him.
She ran up to him, shoving him, yelling.
"Was it too hard to hand over your phone number yesterday? This whole day I've been running from the Peacocks because of you and your girlfriend, but do I get help? No! Dove apparently doesn't know how to answer her phone now and it's not like I have anyone to call - my hundred contacts from Peacock are gone! I was almost kidnapped by them this morning!"
“Maldita mujer!” Yeon exclaimed, startled by her sudden appearance. “First, Dove is not my girlfriend, second, you could have just looked me up! And you’re own gang if after you, huh? Unfortunate.”
Dove stared at her phone and found many missed calls. Cursing, she dialed the number and waited for someone to answer.
"I literally just got here-" Laima started to argue, but she stopped as her phone rang. She smiled with relief as she realized that it was indeed Dove.
She picked up, eagerly speaking.
"The Peacocks are trying to kill me and so I had to abandon my house so I don't have anywhere to live and now I'm having a stupid argument with Yeon - can I stay at your place?"
“¿Estúpido? Tienes que estar bromeando,” Yeon muttered to himself quietly, running a hand over his face.
