"Wait, where's he going?" Marya dropped from Nimue's hands, falling onto the ground and gasping in pain. "Why is he acting so weird? Why are you letting him go? Cal!" she attempted to run after him, falling onto her knees and coughing up blood. "Cal!" she was desperate.
“Marya!” Nimue said, wincing as she knelt down. “Calm down. He’ll be right along. He”s just checking for stragglers.”
“But I get to be on your shoulder again, right?”
"This place is dangerous." she wiped blood from her cheeks. "He needs someone to watch his back. I promis-" her voice cracked, "I promised to watch over him. Fight until death. It's my motto. I'm not dead yet, so let's see how much I can push my luck today." Marya slowly stood up, ignoring her pain and drawing out her knife. "Something's going on with him. I'm finding out." and then she started to run.
“Marya!”
Kirin!
“Come back, Marya, you’re in no condition for this! I’ll go find him if you really want someone to…”
Kirin, Marya’s coming for Cal.
Why am I so protective of him now?
Stabbing pain shot through her abdomen, almost making her stop a couple of times. Still, Marya pushed on. "Cal!" her feet pounded at the ground. "Cal!" her heartbeat grew faster and louder. "Cal!" her mind was focused on a single thought. "Cal!" I would die for you. Both of you. "Cal!" her desperation was getting stronger, pushing her forward through the gut-wrenching pain. "Cal!"
(So over there it’s like:
Blood
Kirin’s beautiful
Marya and Cal
Kirin
Nimue also blood
Marya blood
I bet Kirin looks even better with blood
And then over here it’s like:
London wants cuddles.)
(I shot water out of my nose laughing at that)
“But I get to be on your shoulder again, right?”
“F-fine,” he muttered, shoving the siren file away.
-
“Marya!” She tackled her, wincing as the two thudded to the ground. “I shouldn’t have done that. But seriously, you’re going to get yourself killed! He’ll be fine, he’s been doing this a long time, I’ll go find him, Marya stop it before you kill yourself!” She begged.
"Death is better than watching a friend die because I couldn't save them. They're all dropping like flies. Stay with me, help me. I have a feeling that Cal's not coming back." she brushed herself off and stood up, extending a hand. "Something's going on around here and I don't fricking like it."
Get out of here!
“Marya…” she said hesitantly, accepting the hand. She watched her for a moment before sighing. “You’re really not going to be any use if you’re an inch away from death when we find him.”
"More like a meter." she shrugged, "Death has been trying to get me for years. Not today, grim reaper, not today."
“Yay!” London cheered, letting go.
“A meter is not as long as you seem to think, Marya. But if you insist. If you strain yourself, I’m sending you back to the others.”
-
Marcus quickly finished sorting the files and sat down in a plush armchair nearby.
London somehow found a way to put his arms arohnd Marcus without getting stabbed by the armchair.
"I wouldn't let you." Marya put an arm around Nimue, "Mind supporting me?"
He sighed and closed his eyes, leaning back.
-
“Of course not,” she said, wrapping an arm around Marya as well.
Get out of here, Get out of here.
Why? It’ll make her suspicious. Cal needs to convince her of something better.
"Good." Marya let Nimue take some of her weight and together they made their way towards Cal.
“Yes.” London said, closing his eyes.
//do something interesting pls I’m so tired
