Beau practically climbed over the kitchen counter to see Mercury's bag on the floor, struggling to catch a glimpse of what was inside. At this point, he barely even cared if anyone thought that he was being overly excited.

Mercury rolled his eyes and took out a small drawstring bag. He tossed it at Venus with a smile. “It’s a necklace from my friend, aka the upcoming jewelry store owner of the century. When he becomes famous, you’re going to look at that necklace and go “I’m so glad my amazing older brother got it for me because now they’re all overpriced and I’m envied.” Or something like that.”
Venus smiled as she opened the bag to see the necklace. She made a small squealing noise, "Oh I have no doubts he'll go far. This is gorgeous!"
Mercury smiled and took out a small book next. He tossed it at Beau. “It’s a comic that one of my professors wrote. It’s not completely language-free, but it’s fine. I thought you’d enjoy it.”
Pluto hopped out of Mercury's arms and sat on the floor, watching his siblings receive their gifts quietly. The hoodie he was wearing was big enough for him to tuck his knees inside and basically become a ball.
(Has scarlet made her character yet?)
Camilla sat on the couch attentive to what Mercury got her.
"Ooh, what'd you get me?" Kai demanded, holding out his hand to Mercury. "It better be good," he added with a smirk.
((Okay so stuff has been happening and I'm hella behind what is happening?))
(Basically everyone went to school except Kai, Pluto got bullied and minorly beat up, Mercury came to visit and is now handing out gifts)
Mercury pulled out what looked like a long pole next. He tossed it at Camilla. “It’s a folding hoola hoop, so you can take it places easier.” He explained.
Mercury took out an oddly shaped box and handed it to Kai. “It’s a magic kit from my friend- well, we have more of a love-hate relationship, but still. He’s working at some magic shop where he claims everything’s haunted and the tricks don’t make sense, so I got one of the kits for you so you can confuse everyone.”

"Wait so how does it work?" Camille asked as she examined it. It wasn't much, she would of liked the magic kit better, but she made do with what she had.

Kai examined the magic kit with a wry grin. "Not gonna lie, Merc, it's lame," he said, shrugging and tossing the box in the air, then catching it. "But since it's from you, I won't complain."
(I’m really just coming up with these gifts on a whim here guys, I really don’t know what everyone’s gonna want and I’m just roling with it. Also, just imagine that the hoola hoop thing has some sort of design on it because I’m too lazy to put that in the text.)
“You click this so it unfolds.” Mercury explained, rubbing the back of his neck. “I know the gifts kind of suck, but I really wasn’t sure what to get you guys. You can switch, if you want. That way Kai can impress all the guys, girls, and all those in between at school with his amazing hoola hoop skills, and Cam, you can learn some slight of hand.”
"Yeah Kai, if you don't want the kit, I'll take it." Camilla said before testing out the hoola hoop.
"Oh, yeah, definitely I want the hula hoop," Kai drawled, pocketing the magic kit. "Nah, I'm joking. I'll take the kit. If I'm lucky I can sell it to some idiot at school." He'd probably end up using it. But he didn't want to let Mercury know that.
"No what, dude, just give it to me." Camilla protested.
"Sorry, kid," Kai said, ruffling Camilla's hair, "it may be lame, but it's not as lame as a hula hoop."
Camilla grumbled a bit. "Fine, but I still get to use it though right?"
"If you're nice to me, maybe," Kai replied. "But no promises."
Camilla gave an exasperated sigh as she plopped down on the couch.
Mercury smiled and took out a small book next. He tossed it at Beau. “It’s a comic that one of my professors wrote. It’s not completely language-free, but it’s fine. I thought you’d enjoy it.”
"Thanks, Mercury," Beau answered, catching the comic book as he began to flip through it already. After he read a couple pages, he looked up, examining what the others had received.
Pluto sat beside Beau and looked at the comic with him, leaning his head on his brother's shoulder. Pluto was pretty good at reading for his age, and would get a dictionary to look up words he didn't understand sometimes.
"You can come in and read it whenever you want," Beau said gently as he let Pluto look over the comic alongside him. Sure, most siblings didn't share their things with their brothers or sisters, but he was always very close to Pluto.
