“It’s kinda strange that everyone keeps asking me for directions. I don’t even live here; well, I don’t actually live anywhere, but I guess I spend enough time here to know my way around…”
“It’s kinda strange that everyone keeps asking me for directions. I don’t even live here; well, I don’t actually live anywhere, but I guess I spend enough time here to know my way around…”
"Don't live here? Are you here illegally or something?" Rheyna blurted out, wondering if there was someone else that wasn't supposed to be here.
“Uh… I dunno, honestly. I mean, I was born in Perdita, but no one really tries to stop me from being here, you know?” Beau shrugged, not too concerned.
Oh god, he is here illegally and he doesn't even know it. Rheyna thought, her wide eyes staring at Beau for a few seconds. "…Wow. I hate to break it to you, but I don't think you're legally allowed to be in Auxili. If you tell the wrong person what you just told me, you could be locked up or sent back to Perdita."
“…Well, shit. What am I supposed to do about that? It’s not like I’ve really got a home to go to, even in Perdita. Bit of a drifter.” Beau tugged at his bandanna, looking vaguely nervous.
(Okay I hate to do this because I hate when people do this, but I don't really know how to come in here. If there's not really a need for my character now, and more when we start rebelling thats fine)
(Well hopefully we'll be starting a rebellion soon….)
(Until then, if anyone has ideas about how your character can enter they can help. Just pop in at any time.)
Rheyna stood up, brushing the loose grass off her pants. "Well," She began quietly. "I'll let you in on a little secret. I'm from Perdita too, and I'm also here illegally. We're in the same boat."
“Hey, nice! At least I’m not the only one, huh?” Beau held out his hand for a high five, standing up as well. These traveling licenses are pretty dumb, though…
"Yeah, sure." She said while rolling her eyes, not bothering to high five him. "And before you ask, no I do not have a plan. I'm just hoping that someone takes down Alkarii and gets rid of this stupid license thing. No one should have to live their whole lives in the shit hole that is Perdita."
“Well… since neither of us is allowed to be here, why don’t we do it? I mean, we could get a few people and start a little thing, ya know?”
(sorry, I was gone)
Luke overheard their conversation walking back, and headed over, an eyebrow raised. He turned to Beau. "Hey, you again. Did I hear something about a rebellion?"
“Uh… well it depends if you’re interested or not? If you are, then yes. If not, then… uh… forget you heard anything, yeah?” Beau smiled awkwardly. “But I’ll just say I’d be totally on board with you joining.”
"Oh yeah." Luke jerked a thumb back towards the fields. "I like working there on my own time - the government's rules for it kind of suck."
“Nice! Rebellion it is! We need a team name or some shit… uh, any ideas?” Beau asked, placing his hands on his hips. “We’ll need a couple more people too.”
Rheyna was about to slap Beau. "Okay, you need to chill. You can't just tell random people about stuff like this! You could get us killed!"
"Nah, I'm in on it." Luke shifted his weight, leaning on his right foot. "Trust me, I hate them as much as you."
“Well, there are worse ways to go.” Beau rubbed the back of his head. “And he asked, anyways, so… it’s cool! You in, too?” He asked Rheyna.
"I mean-" He began. "I don't really know what's going on with anyone else, but they never pay my parents right. So yeah."
"Yes, but you have to listen to me. Full offence, but you two aren't going to get too far by yourselves." Rheyna responded bluntly.
"Yeah, yeah, okay. That's fair." Luke held his left arm, his posture dropping.
“Nice! Honestly, I agree. I’m like, really poor.” Beau laughed. “Couldn’t really buy too many supplies. ‘Specially with angry merchants and all. How do we get more people? I’ve never joined a rebellion before.”
"You think I have?" Luke grinned at him with a lopsided smile.
Katherine walked over to a group of people talking. She over heard the word "rebellion" and a small grin start to tug. She calmly walked up to them, "I wouldn't be talking about rebelling against the government. You'll end up right back in Perdita, if your not careful."
"Pfft, nah. It'd be kinda cool if you had, though. So like, how does one gather members for a rebellion without getting arrested?" Beau rubbed his hands together, looking over in the direction of the city. He jumped a bit when someone else joined the conversation. "I mean, yeah… that wouldn't be too bad. Just the fact that I'm not allowed in my own house. Are you wanting to join our little rebellion too?"
