Azalea looked around the whole square, unable to find a pet store in sight. She saw two people chatting nearby and probably introducing themselves. She didn't really want to butt in or interrupt them but desperate times called for desperate measures. "Hey… sorry to interrupt you guys but…" Azalea started off before rubbing her neck. "Do you know anywhere that they sell pet food? I'm new around this area and I only know the main places."
Luke made his way back to the fields after getting a small lunch, humming an intricate tune as he went.
"Oh! Uh, yeah, I think so… there's a place on the corner of an alley called Martin's that has animal stuff. I'd go with you, but the merchants aren't too happy with me right now and I should probably let them cool down."
(Oof how to insert Jacob…I think I know how to, but I don't know if I should right now…)
Rheyna eyed the new girl wearily, ignoring Beau's question. It was obvious to her that Beau was from Auxili, but this new girl didn't quite fit in here. Rheyna wondered if the girl was here illegally like she was.
Katherine had entered the town because she was running low on food. A little ironic considering most of Auxili was farmland, but hey what could she do. She glanced around the town square for some type of food store.
(Beau’s actually not from Auxili, but he’s been chilling here a while)
Beau didn’t seem to notice Rheyna not answering, but looked around aimlessly, taking in his surroundings. “It’s been a while since I’ve been here… lovely place, no?”
(yeah I know but he seems so causal and friendly that Rheyna thinks he's a local)
(Yeah that’s just Beau lol)
(Well, don't know how this'll work but here I go!)
Jacob knew he legally came to Auxili just to travel, but he felt as if he didn't belong. Nevertheless, he had a broad smile on his face that wouldn't falter. Usually imagining things whenever he's not working or testing his intelligence, Jacob walked around, exploring the place he had only once been to before.
"Thanks!" Azalea replied, adjusdting the strap of her bag. Calypso has been quiet all of a sudden and she was getting worried but her curiousity took the better of her. "If you don't mind me asking, why don't the merchants want you there."
“Oh! I knocked over a display by mistake and they thought I was stealing. I wasn’t, obviously, but I should probably let them cool off anyways. They’ll realize nothing’s gone.” Beau shrugged and sat down on the grass.
"I take it that this happened very recently." Azalea guessed, she didn't think that someone would be mad over a display being knocked over if it happened a couple of days ago.
“Yeah, just about ten minutes ago maybe. I mean, I could always go in and say, ‘hey, I didn’t take your stuff, please stop trying to arrest me’.” He laughed, shredding blades of grass.
Jacob came up to them, question in mind. "Excuse me. I don't mean to interrupt, but do any of you know where their food market is? I haven't been here in a while, and some things have changed, I guess."
“Yeah, there’s a fallen display right in the middle. Unless they’ve cleaned it up… anyways, the market’s in the center. Just walk in and don’t make any turns.”
"Fallen display? What happened? For once, I didn't do anything to cause mayhem!" Jacob chuckled, stuffing his hands in his pants pockets, something he would be scolded for where he lived.
“I knocked it over. On accident of course.” Beau said nonchalantly. He’d already told this story a couple times today as an explanation. “Merchants aren’t too happy with me right now.”
"Ah. Thanks! And good luck with those merchants!" Jacob called back, a wide grin on his face. Ah, the trouble some people got themselves into. Though he sometimes got himself into trouble as well. He was considered somewhat immature for being from Captio.
Beau waved to Jacob. “Nice guy… ah, dammit! I forgot to ask his name! Oh well, guess I’ll probably run into him later.”
(I think we might be the only ones on..? I don't know.)
Azalea watched as the other guy came up and asked for directions and took that as her cue to leave. "Thanks, again. I owe you." Azalea said before he approached and walked towards any alley she could find.
"Everyone here is so friendly and optimistic," Rheyna mumbled mostly to herself. "It's like everything they say ends in an exclamation point." She hadn't moved from her shady spot under the tree.
Walking through the market did Jacob some good, if any. He was enthusiastic towards other people, waving and greeting them with a smile. He bought a few things here and there, but not as much as he usually would have.
