“Yes, that’s what it’s called,” Floyd said, slowly calming down.
“It could be fun. Cassie wanted to do all of that stuff before she was kind of placed in the science section, she just had really good grades I guess. But I remember when I was a kid and I couldn’t sleep, she’d come in and sing to me. Damn, it’s been a while,” He said, brows furrowed in thought.
Ace smiled, watching Floyd think.
"It must be nice to have siblings." He said, frown on his face.
Floyd shrugged and smiled. “They get annoying sometimes. Well, Cassie is okay. Nick is a bastard,” he said, chuckling. “You want siblings, huh?”
Ace shook his head, looking up at Floyd.
"Well, I did have a sibling, she died before I was born..she was only four, my parents had decided to have another around the time she was three because they though that they should have a son to take the throne. They did end up getting that wish and by the time my sister had died, they had me.." He said, looking down at his hands.
"But, Yeah, i wouldn't mind a sibling."
“Oh damn, I’m sorry. I had no idea about that,” Floyd startered, rubbing Ace’s arm in a comforting manner. “I mean, Cassie loves you like a brother, so that could count. Nick is incapable of feeling natural human emotions, I think, so we can cut him out of the family.”
Ace laughed, elbowing Floyd in the side.
"Alright, 'Big brother'" he joked, winking at his friend.
Floyd batted his elbow away after, chuckling. “Yeah, little guy,” he teased, grinning.
Whining, Ace fell back over, throwing his arm over his eyes.
"So.." He said, somewhat awkwardly.
Floyd chuckled at his almost pouty move and leaned against his elbows. “What do you feel like doing now?” He said, legs dangling off the bed.
Ace shrugged his shoulders, rolling to lay on his side, laying his head in his hand and leaning on it, the other resting on his leg.
"What do you do in you're 'spare time' because, I know you probably don't wanna read books about plants and animals." He said with a closed eyed smile.
“Mm, I usually just spar with Nick, go for runs, etcetera.. I pretty much just try to stay active,” Floyd said in an ironically lazy tone.
Ace nodded, unsure of what to do next, jumping up he decided,
"Let's go for a walk!" He shouted excitedly.
Floyd chuckled and pushed himself. “Want to work on your stamina, huh?” He joked, hinting to how Ace had been worn out earlier.
Ace groaned, walking out of his room.
"Please no." He whined, throwing his head back with an 'UUUGH', his arms dangling limply at his sides.
"We should go play soccer in the main square!" He said, remembering the fun he had with them the day his father died.
Floyd followed along side his friend and laughed. “Sure, soccer sounds fun,” he commented with a shrug.
"Yay!" He yelled, running ahead and down the stairs, the guards opening the gates as he made his way out of the palace.
Floyd jogged after the boy, chuckling as he shook his head. “Do you think they’ll have a game going on?”
"They almost always do, their parents give them a few months of vacation until they move up a year and their material get's harder, soon, you and I will have to choose some to become healers, or reapers." He said, smiling.
"They always play soccer when they aren't helping their parents in their shops, or doing chores, and it's about noon, so yeah, there should be a game right about now."
“Alright, cool. Hopefully they’ll let us jump in,” Floyd said, in thought. He rubbed his jaw line as he slowed into a walk.
Ace nodded, easily remembering how to get to the square, with him spending most of his time there.
Floyd followed Ace, hearing shouts of a crowd in the distance as he looked around, shifting between people.
Ace smiled when he spotted Aster, the boy ran up to Ace and hugged him, digging his face in his chest. The blue eyed king laughed, ruffling the boys pink hair.
"Ace I haven't seen you in forever!" He squealed.
Ace smiled, looking over the smaller boy, he was the same age as Ace, but had a more feminine look.
"You've grown a bit, I'm proud!" he joked, poking Aster and laughing.
"Mind If my friend Floyd and I join the game?" Aster nodded, waving to Floyd, allowing them to play.
"Come on!"
Floyd gave the pink haired boy a bright, friendly grin and nodded. “Exciting, huh?”
Aster smiled, a bit intimidated by Floyd, quickly running off and joining back in the game.
"Shy little Aster is the great grandson of one of the members from the original group to find this place," Ace filled Floyd in, smiling as he watched the pink haired boy play, "I've known him since I was born, he's a week older than me If you can believe it!" Ace chuckled, taking Floyd's hand.
"Let's go!" with a small tug, he pulled the larger boy into the game happily.
Floyd watched the boy post and smiled. “Seems nice,” He said. He chuckled, and allowed Ace to drag him along.
