Floyd leg of of his legs, and slightly crouched so it was easier for the shorter boy to get off his back. Once he was off, he rolled his shoulders back. “You are about as heavy as you look,” He said with a light laugh, trying to change the subject.
Ace pouted at Floyd, poking his side.
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" He asked, looking around at the shops that bordered the dirt streets and busy sidewalks.
Floyd smiled, bumping Ace’s hip with his own. “Good thing. You’re a bit lightweight, shortie,” he teased, looking down at the boy.
Ace muttered a few insults under his breath as they continued to walk, although he stopped when he spotted a store with a vase filled with large light pink flowers in the window.
"No way!" He squealed, tugging Floyd over to the door, "That's a Dahlia! They are a member of the Asteraceae, dicotyledonous plants, related species include the sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum, and zinnia!" He squeaked, spilling out nonsense. He jumped up and down, his sore leg forgotten as he admired the beautiful flower.

Floyd arched a brow at Ace and smiled. “I didn’t understand any of that. Think they might give it to you?” He asked.
"I could never take something that beautiful away from somebody!" He said, furrowing his eyebrows and admiring the flower one last time before turning to the much taller boy.
"So, what do you wanna do now?"
“Mm, we could just go back to my place? We don’t go there often,” Floyd suggested, shrugging his shoulders. It was true, they usually tended to go to the castle, as it was much nicer than his two story cottage.
Ace nodded in agreement, giving Floyd a shy smile, his cheeks a light red color.
“Let’s go then, it’s not far,” Floyd continued as he nudged his way through small crowds. “Nick will be at work, and Cassie should be too, so we should have the whole place to ourselves.”
Silently nodding, Ace followed Floyd, waving every now and then, running his hand nervously through his blonde hair, his blue eyes locked on his friend so he didn't get lost.
Eventually, Floyd walked up to a quaint looking stone cottage. He dug through his pocket and took out a key, which he used to unlock the front door. “Here we are,” he announced, ushering Ace inside. “It’s no palace, but it’s definetly somethin’.”
"I love it." Ace said, his eyes wide as he looked around the place, a small smile spread across his face.
“Yeah? It’s not big, but it’s cozy. You want to take the grand tour?” Floyd asked in joking tone, hands on his hips as he glanced around. He slightly dreaded taking Ace up to his room, he couldn’t remember if he had cleaned it recently or not.
He smiled, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
"Lead the way."
“Alright! Before we get this tour started I’ll have to ask you to remove your shoes so the lady of the household doesn’t yell at me,” Floyd declared, crouching to untie the laces of his brown combat boots. When he slipped them off, he set them aside by the door.
Ace nodded, taking of his shoes and placing them next to Floyd's. Once he finished he turned around, and waited patiently for Floyd to tell him what to do next.
“First, if you look to your right,” Floyd began, motioning toward a smaller room that had a seating area, a few shelves of books, and a rug covering the hardwood floor. “That is the living room-area.”
He turned Ace to face the opposite way. “That’s the dining room,” he continued, motioning towards the room, which held a wooden table with a few chairs around it.
Ace nodded, following closely behind Floyd, looking around, he liked Floyd's house.
Floyd led him through the dining room, and into what looked like a kitchen. The counters were a dark colored marble, and the floors were neatly tiled. “Here is this kitchen..” he said, gesturing with his hands.
He led Ace out of the kitchen through a different walk way, stopping at a single door. “Right down there is the basement, but we don’t need to go down there,” he continued, not knowing if some of the small bloodstains from Nick and his last fight were cleaned up.
“Now for the upstairs!” He announced, leading his friend up a small flight of stairs.
Ace laughed at Floyd, following him as he went up the stairs, admiring the home.

(Lmao it’s fine, there’s not much to say)
Floyd entered a hallway with four doors. “This first door is a bathroom,” he said, motioning to it.
“This,” He continued, half kicking the door open to a decent sized bedroom. “Is Nick’s stupid room.”
He turned to the door across the hall from it, this time actually opening it normally. It was another bedroom, this one the same size as the last, but much neater and brightly colored. “This is Cassie’s room, obviously.”
Floyd made his way to the last door and shoved it open. The bedroom was slightly smaller, and a bit messy. “Finally, the main attraction: my room,” he announced, snatching up a pair of shorts that had been tossed onto the floor and throwing it into a laundry basket in the corner of the room.
(I just blanked, I'm part of so many rp's atm that I wrote down like five names before getting to Ace.)
Ace looked around the room, pretending he didn't see what Floyd did and once again admired the room.
"I like your home." Ace said, smiling happily as he looked around.
"It's more like a…home than what that big old stupid 'castle' is, it feel's somewhat..safer?" He said in a questioning tone, telling the truth as he looked up at Floyd.
(Lmao, relatable..)
Floyd arched a brow and smiled. He jumped onto his bed, laying flat on his back with his limbs stretched out. “Yeah? I understand that. It’s pretty peaceful here.”
Ace laid next to Floyd on his stomach, getting closer than he had meant to, but he went with it, afraid it would make this awkward. He watched his friends face, a strange bubbly feeling in his stomach.
“This is nice,” Floyd rambled on, being his usual chatty self. “It’s quiet for once. It’s actually loud, usually Nick and Cassie are always arguing about something.” He chuckled slightly, turning his head to look at his friend, who was surprisingly close to him.
