"My dad used to tell me that the gods envy us because we can die. It means that we can look at everything like it's the last time we'll ever see it. . . and it's makes everything so much more beautiful." Charlie said, weaving an illusion of stars dancing across the palm of her hand, mimicking the ones above.
Chakuro didn't know what to say. He stared at the illusion of stars and looked up towards the skies, remembering what Aita had said.
Look for me in the stars, Chakuro. I'll be watching you.
When a half-demon died, Chakuro had read, they were claimed by angels to be stars in the sky, shining like they never got to in their life. Maybe Aita was there now, watching him. He stood up, leaning against the railing.
"One of these days, Aita. I'm going up there with you."
"I wish I could bring him back for you." Charlie said after a long pause, the illusion fading away. Maybe make an illusion Aita? No. She knew she shouldn't. That's why she hated her gift. Charlie made things that weren't actually there, which made her want them even more.
"You probably don't know what he looks like. We weren't identical twins."
"Tell me about him." Charlie said, standing up and leaning over the railing, her dark hair falling around her face as she looked down.
"He had white hair and red eyes, with pale skin, but no freckles. He was kind of short too, it was fun to tease him about it. He had red ram horns and white feathered wings, almost like an angel. Aita used to joke that I stole all of his color in the womb, but he was the most colorful person I ever knew. He was the color of my world." Chakuro smiled, looking up at the stars. "He said that he would be watching me from the sky, shining as bright as a star. Carefree and unburdened, like he was always supposed to be. Not running after his brother and taking care of him. Dying for him."
"He sounds amazing. . " Charlie replied, looking over at Chakuro. "He reminds me of my brother. We're both willing to do everything for each other, but I wish I was more like him."
"We're the wild childs?" Chakuro suggested, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips. "That makes August and Aita the stable ones."
"Definitely." Charlie agreed, turning to face Chakuro as she leaned against the iron railing of the balcony. A small grin tugged the corner of her lips upward. "I've always been too loud and quick to loose my temper. August is calm and caring. . ."
"And always there for you?" Chakuro finished, smiling at the stars. "We're almost alike, you and me. Promise to be my friend through all of this?"
"Promise." Charlie nodded, her eyes lighting up at the sound of it. She had never had many friends before.
(Unless Charlie starts going crazy like Adelina from Young Elites xD)
(I will personally kill Chakuro in the cruelest way of you do that)
"Yay!" Chakuro linked arms with her, "Let's stop being sad and start eating chocolate?"
//eventually, her eyes will be lighting up with insanity instead of happiness
(I will personally kill Chakuro in the cruelest way of you do that)
"Yay!" Chakuro linked arms with her, "Let's stop being sad and start eating chocolate?"
"Chocolate sounds wonderful." Charlie laughed, nudging him playfully.
(Sadly, Charlie is going to go slightly crazy/dark from her illusions and she'll push most people away )
(gtg sleep)
(see you in the afternoon)
"You guys have such sophisticated names, and I'm just a piece of fruit," Olive spoke, feeling the edges of her mask, It thawed, Hallelujah!
August gave a warm smile and nodded, taking the drink from her. He sipped it slowly and glanced down at the liquid in the cup. “What is this?”
“Some sort of fruit drink, I think,” she said, peering into the cup and sniffing it. “Possibly alcoholic.”
(August better not get pushed away, who knows what he’ll do or what’ll happen to him evil laugh)
“I’ve never had alchohol before..” August murmured as he brough the cup to his nose to smell.

Gabby tilted her head, looking over at her twin. "Are olives a fruit?"
"I think so," Genie responded, "It would make sense."
(I can't promise anything for Charlie's sanity, sadly xD )
They walked back into the ballroom, Charlie's arm still linked with Chakuro's. She slipped her mask back on, hoping that it would purge most of the stares they were receiving.

“Don’t worry, they never give out anything very strong,” she assured him, signing what she could as usual.”
“Okay, good,” August said as he signed. He thought for a moment, looking back towards the dancers. “What does the music sound like?”
