“You won’t be alone, you got all your friends, so that’s not alone!” Aaren pointed out.
"That's true, but that's not the alone I'm talking about, you know," It was nice to talk to Aaren again, like back when they were kids.
“Yeah, yeah, I know what you mean, but you’ll eventually find someone.” Aaren rested his chin on his hand and took a sip of his smoothie.
(Savannah: slides into Aaren and Riley's convo You know who knows about flirting? points thumbs at self)
"So, have you found someone? Or maybe just have someone you like?" She asked mimicking he moves and batting her eyelashes, very curious to know.
“Nope, nothin’ yet, not even a hint of a crush!” Aaren laughed.
"Boring. All these years that I've known you, you've never had a crush." How come girls weren't around Aaren, he was just as handsome as the new guy and he was super sweet. "Are you sure you dont secretly have girls after you?"
Aaren shrugged, “Maybe, but you’ll never know.” Aaren smirked.
"Pft, I know you do you have to," she leans in closer to him "Between me and you, you're definitely one of the more attractive guys in this town." She gave a smile before looking out the window seeing that Savannah was waiting for her.
“Oh really?” Aaren smirked and stroke a stereotypical protagonist pose.
Riley laughed. She missed this, they never left each others side when they were young. "Well, I have to go but," pulling a napkin from the table she wrote her number "Call me," she did the stereotypical flirty move and winked.
“See? I knew you were starting to flirt with guys!” Aaren teased, “Anyway, have fun!”
She waved and walked out the door. He changed a bit, which definitely wasn't a bad thing. She took one more look before walking over to Savannah."Hey, sorry about that." She smiled.
Aaren picked up his pencil and sketchbook to continue drawing.
(I have really bad service where I'm at now so sorry for the late replies.)
"No problem." Savannah smiled softly. "You're finally putting yourself out there. Proud of you, Rye."
"What, Aaren?" She ask pointed back at him "Hes a childhood friend of mine." Riley couldn't help but smile, she really missed talking to him.
"You just gave him your number!" Savannah hit Riley's arm playfully, grinning. "You two would be adorable as a couple. Aariley, I can see it now." She wrapped her arm around Riley's shoulder and fanned out her other arm dramatically.
"Well, I did kind have a crush on him when we were younger," she paused thinking about it "Its in the past, hes never a crush on anyone before, and I was only a friend to him." But, Riley could see them together as well. Were old feelings coming back?
"I was watching you two. The look on his face suggested he thought of you as a little bit more than a friend. Anyhow, we should probably go do something. I dunno what, but I'm bored of just standing outside the coffee shop."
"Shopping?" More clothes were always needed according to Riley. "I'll let you choose an outfit for me, maybe to impress a boy."
"Alright, there's an awesome new mall near here. Come on!" Savannah grabbed Riley's arm and pulled her in the direction of the mall.
Frailey was a bit scared of what Savannah would pick for her, but she knew what she was doing. "Nothing to show okay?"
Savannah sighed. "Fine, but we'll have to meet somewhere in the middle. To impress a guy, you need to show off your body. Form fitting is the way to go here." She began leafing through racks of clothes, picking out several dresses and other clothing and handing them to Riley.
"I dont know about the new guy, but Aaren never really looked at flashy girl, I guess no girls in general." She hoped Savannah was right about Aaren. *Wait no, the new guy is the one she likes. But, Aaren. Riley knew her feeling for Aaren never really went away and maybe she was hiding it by going after other guys. (Sorry, but is it okay if Riley likes Aaren?)
"Well, it doesn't have to be too flashy. That would look desperate. You need to be subtly sexy." Savannah went into a changing room and came out in a red dress. It hugged her body, and there was a slit in the fabric along the side. It had a sweetheart neckline and she had tried on a silver necklace with it, paired with matching earrings. "See? Not too flashy, but enough to get a guy's attention if you walk by."
