“I’d love to! One sec, I gotta text my friend first.” Aaren pulled out his phone and notified his friend where he’d be.

Maddy jumped, looking down at her phone. She smiled, texting back (Tysm)

"Were you meeting with someone?" She eyed the phone "Sorry, I mean we can do this another time," Now she just felt bad. But she was worried it may be a girl. Wait, no he said he didn't like anyone right now.

(No problem, that’s what I’m here for ;P)

“No, it’s fine, she said she’d meet us there, Maddy was super late, anyway, I probably would’ve left if you hadn’t come by.” Aaren stood up and grabbed his supplies, putting them into his handy-dandy bag.

"I've never met Maddy, where did you guys meet?" Riley asked walking down the street trying to keep talking so it didn't get awkward.

“She’s a friend from art school (If that’s ok :P), we were in quite a few classes together, so we got to know each other,” Aaren explained as he followed Riley

"I see," Riley sat a bench looking over a little lake they have at the park. "I haven't been here in a while." The sound of the water was calming and the breeze felt nice as well.

Maddy walked up, a few books clutched to her chest

“Hey, Maddy! This is my friend, Riley.” Aaren waved and introduced the two.

"Hello!" She said politely. "Sorry I'm late, I was studying and got distracted

"Hi," she gave a little wave. She was pretty. "Would you like to sit?" Riley moved over so there was room for all of them.

(I'm so sorry for being gone! We had a tornado watch where I am and the power was out for hours)
