Caya rushed to follow her, then stopped. "Water," she muttered darkly. "I'll be seeing you again, and when I do, you won't be so lucky."
Caya rushed to follow her, then stopped. "Water," she muttered darkly. "I'll be seeing you again, and when I do, you won't be so lucky."
Ara heard her as she disappeared and smirked. "No, you won't be the lucky one, princess."
Caya gritted her teeth and growled in the back of her throat. "I'm not a princess…"
Ara grinned.
(Can someone catch me up?)
(Diren and Caya stalked the gang back to their base and Ara appeared and made Caya pissed, then left.)
(Should we start the part where they get chosen for the games?)
(Sure!)
(Want to start or should I?)
(You can, just so I can follow your lead and see what you're going for.)
(Okay. It's kind of like the Hunger Games version…)
Ara plopped down onto the seat next to her brother and crossed her arms, waiting. She watched as the woman who was going to select their names go up on the large stage. Everyone in their teens from every district was there. Ara saw the girl she had annoyed that morning and suppressed a grin.
"Did you put your name in the choosing?" Her brother asked her.
Ara nodded. "Of course. What do you think I am, a wimp?"
(If you want, sure.)
Caya caught the water girl's glance from across the stage. She scowled and looked away.
"Welcome to the 173 Elemental Games! To all who placed their names in the Choosing, I hope you aren't stupid enough to think that this is all a big game. Well, it is, but you could get killed, so… I hope you don't die. Now, I will call the names of the people who will be competing."
Ara rolled her eyes. It was the same speech every year, and she was tired of it.
Caya straightened and smirked.
Diren tapped his foot quickly. Of course he didn't think it was a game. Nothing was a game to him anymore. He hovered at the back of the crowd, listening to his gut telling him he would be chosen and he was helpless. He took a deep breath and pretended to look like he didn't care what happened.
Caya noted Diren and tried to read his expression before the names were announced.
(bump)
The woman pulled a piece of paper from the bowl of the Air District and unfolded it. She read, "The female from teh Air District is Caya!"
Caya smirked and stepped forward.
"The Air male is Bej!"
(Maybe we could just do one tribute from each district…? Since most of them aren't on any more)
(yeah…)
(Sure.)
(So then, just Caya has been announced so far.)
(Okay. Who should I keep as the Fire person?)
