Kaz gave her a thumbs up before taking the cup from her and setting it aside. "Tilt your head a little, I'm gonna put these bandages on your neck. Helps a little with the swelling and makes it look a little less like you got shot with green koolaid or something."
Aliana lifted her head up. She wanted to hum and sooth her nerves, but it seemed like her vocal chords were gone.
Kaz wrapped the bandages around her neck quickly, making sure it wasn't too tight before moving away. "You want more water?" he asked, moving to grab the cup
Aliana nodded, "If you wouldn't mind. What's your name?"
"Kaz," he answered, taking the cup and walking back into the bathroom to get more water. "Also known as Kaon, depending on which of my personalities you're talking to."
Aliana looked to him, "You have multi personality disorder? That's cool."
Kaz handed the cup to her before sitting down on the other bed. "Not really. Think secondary personality that lives in my head and sometimes shows its ugly face."
Aliana took the cup. Her usual smile returned, "Oh. Then maybe it's not so cool. I'm Aliana by the way."
"Hi," Kaz said, resting his head in his hands. He honestly really wanted Aliana to leave so he could take a nap or something, but he knew he should be more empathetic and help care for her. After all, they would probably end up helping their entire group from the asylum as they started coughing
Aliana tilted her head. She felt the usual hum of her tune start back up. Her legs started to sway, "Do you want me to go? Because I can go."
"Are you feeling better? Because if you're not then you can stay if you want," Kaz said, drumming his fingers along his cheeks absently
After getting the boy to their room and laid onto the bed Jules slumped against it. Her head felt like it was splitting in half, she staggered back down the hallway to Kaz' room. "My head.." she groaned before against the wall.
Aliana nodded. The hum began and she closed her eyes swaying to the tune. She giggled, "I'm feeling fine. I'll go if you want me too. It's no trouble."
Kaz opened his mouth to respond, but his face fell almost comically as he heard one of the others from before stumbling down the hallway towards them. "Might as well get a damn sign that says 'clinic' on it to put on our door," he grumbled before getting up and walking out to find Jules. "Alright, come on," he muttered, taking her arm and leading her into the room
"What the fuck is going on?" She asked, holding her head. Releasing one hand she felt around on the back of her neck, tracing the bumps and lines she understood, The side effects, death or "superpowers".
"It's the injection integrating, I guess. It just hurts like a bitch, it doesn't do anything until we start treatment, whatever that's gonna be." He made her sit down on the bed next to Aliana, walking back into the bathroom to get more water and bandages
(I have to go offline for a bit, sorry!!)
Aliana waved at the new girl. She felt the hum build up in her throat until she couldn't help but hum along. A smile crept back onto her face.
Kaz came back with a cup of water, handing it to Jules before quickly wrapping her neck. He sighed, flopping back onto the bed as soon as he was done
“Oh, this is insane,” Vaughn murmured, running a hand over his face in a stressed manner. He leaned back against a nearby wall, which happened to be the farthest from the new arrivals.
Aliana looked to the other boy, "Sorry for the intrusions. I didn't realize you boys kept getting visitors."
Kaz simply answered with a thumbs up. He was getting tired, and when he was tired, he tended to get grumpy. In order to keep from irritating himself he scooted back until he was next to Vaughn, resting his head on the other boy's shoulder as he stared at the door
“It’s fine,” Vaughn addressed the girl who spoke to him. He turned his head slightly to look at Kaz, exhaling softly as he spoke. “We need to close the door next time..”
Kaz nodded. "Next time we're closing the door and making out for at least an hour to make sure no one shows up," he grumbled, letting his head fall into the crook of Vaughn's neck. He could feel Kaon nudging at his brain, but he was oddly muted for some reason. Instead of talking, he was more causing irritation than anything. Huh
Vaughn gave a brief, silent chuckle, nodding slowly. “Sounds perfect,” he mumbled. He didn’t want to think acknowledge it, but his head had begun to hurt. He breathed out slowly, trying to control the pain he felt.
