“You came up with a song?” Vaughn asked, voice having trickles of interest. His fingers lightly began to move against Kaz’s chest, feeling the smooth skin.
“You came up with a song?” Vaughn asked, voice having trickles of interest. His fingers lightly began to move against Kaz’s chest, feeling the smooth skin.
Kaz nodded, smiling softly as he shifted slightly in place as Vaughn's hand ran across his chest. "I play the guitar and cello, have been since I was 12. Round that somewhere," he hummed. "I was in a cover band with my cousin. He played the drums, I was backup vocals and guitar most of the time."
“Really? Interesting,” Vaughn hummed. His fingers continued to wander as he sat up a tad, head lifting off of Kaz’s chest.
"Mm. We're really bad since there's only like…three of us, but we're alright on our own," Kaz hummed. He still had his eyes closed, his arms crossed above his head as he enjoyed Vaughn's touch without actually looking at him
Vaughn sat back up, resting back against Kaz’s hips. His hand continued to feel under Kaz’s shirt lightly, his jaw clenched. “I’m sure it wasn’t that bad.”
"Nah, we're pretty crappy, as all garage cover bands are," Kaz murmured, cracking an eye open to look up at Vaughn. "You got a thing for chests or something?" he teased lightly. He didn't really mind it, he just liked messing with Vaughn sometimes
Vaughn rolled his eyes at the comment, smiling lightly down at Kaz. “Not exactly, no. Just had to see how soft your skin was. It’s pretty soft,” he said, murmuring the last part.
"That's not weird at all," Kaz chuckled. He was surprised Vaughn had that sort of opinion on him, he always thought he was a very jagged person between the unreasonable amount of scars covering his body and his general personality
The corner of Vaughn’s lips quirked at that and he shrugged. “What, you want me to stop?” He asked, brows raising in question.
"Nah, just teasing you," Kaz hummed. "But seriously? I am an affection hog and I will readily admit that now," he said, spreading his arms out a little for effect. "You have no idea how nice it is to go from getting something snapped or bloodied daily to someone actually caring about you."
(casually fighting with myself over whether to have more fluff or to start the mutations)
(Mutations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(oof ok one more KazVaughn response and then we'll start with Kaz bc he has specific genetic stuff that'd trigger the drug way faster than anyone else)
Tenor leaves the room. No one had told him to stay. Fingernails digging into his arm. No longer white skin. Rust. Rust. Dripping behind him. The door that leads to the boys is unlocked. Manners, we must have manners Tenor knocks.
(Sounds good to me)
Vaughn simply hummed in response. He leaned down to peck Kaz’s lips before moving off of him. He sat up in bed, feeling at the back of his aching neck.
Kaz winced a little, his throat suddenly feeling scratchy. He leaned away from Vaughn, coughing into the crook of his arm. The small cough suddenly turned to violent hacking, and he was suddenly wheezing as he sat up. The hood of his hoodie moved a little, showing that the spot where he had been injected had turned a blotchy black with green veins spiderwebbing across the black. It seemed to stretch further down his neck now, and before long Kaz was shaking as he couched up something black and green mixed with small bits of blood
(Aslo, Tenor is knocking on yalls door)
(O lol)
Vaughn had gotten up upon hearing the knock. He swung the door open, brow furrowing as he looked at the man. “Can I help you?” He asked, tone having specks of slight hostility. He looked over his shoulder when hearing Kaz begin to cough. “Kaz?” He said, eyes widening when he noticed the strange colors in his skin and the oddly colored liquid.
Kaz continued to wheeze, the corner of his lip stained with blood. "H-Hurts," he got out between coughs, clutching at his chest as he spluttered. His lungs felt like they were on fire, and the fire felt like it was spreading to his head. He winced, a migraine beginning to throb at the front of his mind
Vaughn quickly hurried to Kaz’s side, leaving the door open and the stranger standing there. He helped Kaz to the bathroom, where the mess would be easier to clean up. He rubbed at Kaz’s back, murmuring for him to just get it out. “Someone help!” He shouted, head turned towards the door.
Jules steps out of the bathroom, dresses and make-uped (lol) and ready to start her day. The boy wasn't in the room and she had forgotten to ask his name. She moves into the hallway as she hears a someone cry for help. It was one of the other boys in the cafeteria, the one whom Kaz walked over to. She ran over to him. "What's going on?" She asked hurriedly, a panicked feeling washing over her, problems in an asylum were bad.
Kaz shuddered, finally finishing his coughing fit. One of the scientists in the hall walked in, clipboard in his hand. “Kaz Weathers, correct? Odd, you were predicted to be one of the last to integrate. What a surprise,” he droned. As the scientist talked Kaz flipped him off, leaning away from the sink to rest against Vaughn’s chest.
“Hurts like a motherfucker,” he ground out, wincing at how raw his throat and lungs felt
“Why the hell arent you trying to help him, you sick bastard?!” Vaughn shouted at the doctor, one hand clenching into a fist. The other wrapped around Kaz, holding him close.
“No need. Now that the parasite is integrated into his system, he can go back to taking his meds and the injection won’t cause him anything more than a neck ache. He won’t have to start radiation treatment until the rest of you integrate, so there’s no need to worry,” the scientist droned, writing something on the clipboard before turning and walking out the door. Kaz reached for a towel, wiping at his mouth before leaning against Vaughn again
