Tenor hadn't been able to sleep. Sleep never came to him if he called it. Not even if he screamed at it. Wandering hallways. Wandering feet. Empty rooms. Empty stomach. Empty head. Tables laid out with enough food for a feast. A bright red apple sitting guard upon the top of the pile. Hesitantly taking it. Sweet. Uncaring of juice running down his chin. Seeing more apples, he hides them under his shirt, and ferries them back to his room. An image, of eating enough seeds to poison himself.
Vaughn glanced back at Kaz in the mirror again before stepping away from it. He tossed his comb back into his bag and sat on the edge of his bed. Now he was extremely restless. “What are we supposed to do now?” He asked as the medication wore off.
"I would assume we head for the cafeteria?" Kaz said, getting up and stretching again, his rumpled hoodie wrinkled from being slept in and riding up a little to show his stomach
Aliana stood up and walked out the door. She grinned gleefully finding out it was unlocked.
Vaughn pushed to his feet and walked to the door. He was happy to get out of the cramped room. He was not so happy about seeing those other strange people again.
Kaz began to walk with the general flow of people, careful not to lose Vaughn. It looked like they were walking back towards the lobby, and he hoped that the conjoined triplets weren't behind the desk still
“You trust any of the food they’re serving here? It’s probably drugged,” Vaughn muttered to Kaz, hands stuffed into his pockets as he walked.
Aliana spotted the two boys from yesterday. She decided to follow them.
"I am 75% drugs, what more damage can they do?" Kaz chuckled. The freaky receptionist was still in the lobby when they finally got there, and he purposely avoided the counter. The cafeteria seemed to be through the center hall, and Kaz began to walk towards it
//pretending that Venezia is following Aliana
“Not funny,” Vaughn grumbled, hands stuffing into his pockets. He avoided looking at the conjoined receptionist. The sight of all these strange people made him sick to his stomach. He would not be eating the food.
Aliana wanted to talk to them, but that would be rude. Hey she's a psycho with manners, most of the time.
"Well, it's food and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't kill off their test subjects. I also have had nothing to eat the past week other than that slice of pie you got me," Kaz said, making his way towards the large cafeteria. It was rather spacious, with room to hold what looked like far more people than actually lived in the lab
Tenor is sitting by himself in the corner of the room farthest from the door. Tenor just wants to be good. Tenor has to be good. He can't be bad. He can't be bad. He can't be bad. He is panicking.
“I don’t think I’ll eat it. Maybe I’ll wait to see if you fall out of your chair to see if I should or not,” Vaughn said. It sounded like it could have been a joke, but his tone said otherwise.
Kaz huffed. "Thank you for your concern. I'll specifically eat something I'm allergic to so I make you think you're going to die," he grumbled sarcastically. He walked up to the line, which was relatively short since they were some of the last ones there. The cafeteria appeared to be serving what looked like…pancakes? They were odd and square shaped, and there was some sort of sausage. He shrugged, going to sit at the only empty table in the room
(AND TENOR IS JUST IN THE CORNER HAVING A PANIC ATTACK MY POOR BOY)
(well I was gonna have Kaz notice him when Vaughn sat down and like…invite him over?)
Vaughn rolled his eyes in response to that and slid into an open seat. He looked over at the food with narrowed eyes. It smelled like normal food, but there were always scentless and tasteless drugs out there.
(My boy shall have possible friends!)
Kaz stabbed one of the small sausages onto his fork. "Okay, here we go. Let's see if I die via a god damn sausage," he muttered before taking a bite. For its odd appearance, it wasn't half bad. He frowned a little before getting an idea. "Huh. Tastes kinda funny-oh no!" he said, putting a hand on his forehead dramatically. "I think I've been poisoned!" he chuckled before falling to the side of his tray and pretending to be dead
Vaughn scoffed sharply, not seeming amused by the little act. “Quit screwing around, I’ll stab you with one of these forks myself,” he muttered, glancing around warily at the others in the room.
“Please do,” Kaz said, sitting up to eat more of his food. “Stuff’s actually pretty good considering the fact that it’s cafeteria food. You should go grab some,” he said, taking a bite of the oddly shaped pancakes
Vaughn’s nose scrunched up a tad and he slowly shook his head. “Maybe in a bit…” he said, trailing off as he noticed someone looking a bit freaked out across the room. He frowned as he watched, nudging Kaz’s side with his elbow to get his attention.
Kaz frowned at him before glancing over. Someone looked like they were having some sort of panic attack in the corner. He finished his bite of food before getting up, walking towards the person
