zie wound through the crowd moments from panic, zie choose a new disguise. as zie walked zirs hair grew long and dark, skin tone much paler and a third eye appeared on zirs forehead and seemed to have shrunk an entire inch. this would have to do for the next while. as zie got closer and closer to the wagon and everything with it, the words *'who did they know? how did they know?' were running through zirs head.
duke bustled hurriedly around, gathering everything in zirs wagon, then quickly decided to abandon it all together, only taking zirs pets and a few other things.

(As far as I’m concerned, Echo is still just a forest friend hiding from everyone lol- was gonna have some character development happen during the war, but of course Null is gone so that didn’t happen. [And I wasn’t quite sure what I would do anyway, aside from a couple ideas.])
