Elijah didn’t take interest in whatever these guys were doing. Even if his mother was attempting to teach him the ways of the kingdom. Pfft who cared about that? He sure didn’t. He’d run it differently if he were ruler. That’s for sure. He’d keep the chaos and darkness of course…and his fathers formality. But he definitely wasn’t gonna be old school. Naw…he’d get more fire. More blades and definitely more blood. Yeah…more blood.

As Eli wandered through the forest, he managed to find a cozy little spot beneath a weeping willow. Perfect. He parted the low hanging vines and leaves and plopped down onto the soft moss beneath him. It was nice…like a natural bed. He then laid down on this soft bed and closed his eyes, reminiscing of his father calling him the name ‘Moss’. Not only was it for the pleasant natural bed, but it also meant ‘Savior’. He thought it was funny his father had told him he liked that name. Eli was no savior…he wasn’t even calm like the nature around him was. He was way more chaotic. Like a tsunami or a blazing forest fire. Sure he had his calm moments…but for the most part, he was a blazing ball of anger and furry.

Liz had arrived to the gathering in silence, the hood of her cloak pulled over. Most already knew who she was, or at least, her reputation. A former warrior for one of the kingdoms, who had chosen to become an outsider after a series of events. She would do almost anything to have a chance at rewriting her past.

As she listened to the discussions, she rolled her eyes. Arguments, arguments. Who destroyed that, and who burned that to ashes? Surely there was a better way to do this.

She stayed in the back of the crowd, a dark figure amongst the various characters of the lands. She kept to staying quiet and watching her surroundings. Of which she noted a couple familiar faces leaving, and tilted her head. Interesting.

Ame looked around at everyone else. She saw her friend Liz among the crowd, but didn’t wave at her or anything. She was sure Liz didn’t want any attention drawn to her.

Instead, she summoned a squishmallow out of thin air and hugged it, closing her eyes. She started singing quietly to herself, although anyone nearby would probably hear. One of her legs dangled from the tree branch, no I The would probably seem like she was asleep if it weren’t for her singing.

Ame loved Pandora, really, but sometimes it was a bit stressful being one of the leaders in her Empire. She mostly got to that position by sheer luck. She was good at fighting, yes, but not nearly good enough to be in her current position. The other soldiers seemed to think so, too. She heard them talk shit about her a decent amount during the war. Never to her face, though. It wasn’t kind of upsetting, but she never complained. Not even to Liz.

(Yes, I’m adding more lore to myself. Deal with it)

Midnight pressed her back against the tree bark. She was about 35 feet above everyone else, where she had a clear view of everyone. She had weapons trained on every single figure down there who posed a threat. Midnight preferred to do things that way, stay above everyone else, ready to kill anybody who made the slightest misstep. And damn, was she good at it. It was why she was the assassin for Team Chancla. It wasn't an easy job, but at least she didn't have to deal with the politics of meeting like these.

She heard a noise from down below. Singing. Midnight glanced down. Oh. It was just Ame. Midnight didn't know what to make of her most of the time, but she still considered her a good friend. A high honor. Midnight didn't consider many to be her friends, much less good friends.

Midnight sighed, then began to stalk down the tree to talk to Ame. The girl obviously couldn't sense her coming, as she jumped when Midnight sat down next to her. "Hey," she said, "is something wrong?" Midnight knew that something was wrong, she didn't even need to ask. She had an uncanny knack for guessing other peoples' feelings.

Ame jumped when someone suddenly sat next to her, then relaxed as she realized who it was. “Oh- hi, Midnight.” The squishmallow disappeared as the ghost shifted her position to face Midnight. She tilted her head when Midnight asked her what was wrong. Was she really that transparent?

Ame simply shook her head. “Nothing. The arguments are bothering me, but it’s just the same thing every meeting, heh.” She sat cross-legged on the branch and huffed. “Dealing with politics is really shitty. Especially when the ones in charge are always yelling at each other.” All of Ame’s friends knew how she felt about yelling at this point. It was kind of ironic, seeing as she yelled at her friends all the time.

(She's a ghost, of course she's transparent.)

Liz sighed, and within one second she was among the crowd. The next? Gone without a trace.

After a moment, Midnight and Ame heard the familiar voice of their former member. "Then perhaps a change of ruling is required," she said.

She was crouched on a branch on the opposite side of the tree, her hood down and her face and hair revealed. Her gaze was trained on the gathering below, unwavering.

"That's a loud of bullshit," Midnight said. "C'mon, I know something's bothering you. You can tell me." Midnight pulled a fluffy blanket out of thin air and draped it over her and Ame. She then pulled out two mugs hot chocolate with extra marshmallows from wherever she got things.

"And before you ask, no, you are not that transparent. I just happen to be really good at reading people, especially my bestie. Now do you want to tell me what's wrong or should i guess?"

When Ame didn't reply, Midnight continued. "You are doubting yourself and you don't think you belong with all these people because you're not good enough. Before I ask if I'm right, which I know I am by the way, I'm going to tell you that that is complete and utter garbage. You're better than anyone else here, even me. And that means something because I am the most amazing person ever. But you're better. Now do you want more hot choccie?"
