Kameo laughed, "Why so distant, Daso? I'm telling the Captain, not you." he prodded Daso in the shoulder, "You know me, I love ruining moments."
Kameo laughed, "Why so distant, Daso? I'm telling the Captain, not you." he prodded Daso in the shoulder, "You know me, I love ruining moments."
"Yes, what are the dangers, Kameo?" Leah spoke up, looking between the two.
Morrigan clenched her teeth to avoid from crying out in pain. “A lot of things.” was all she said, eyes tracing the words of the poem tattooed on her forearm.
(Back for a bit.)
Lucian quickly finished stitching up the gash and dabbed at the rest of the blood before wrapping her arm tightly. “Don’t do that again, I’m going to check the other wounds, if you don’t mind,” he said, not waiting for her approval as he took her other wrist in his hand, checking the injuries on that arm. He set her wrist down and leaned over, tugging up her pant leg in a swift movement, looking at the old bruises and scars. He finished checking her legs, but didn’t check her stomach, feeling that he should get permission first. “I can assign you antidepressants to take,” he explained, “and I would prefer if you saw me often so I can check that arm of yours.”
Kameo frowned, "You didn't hear it from me, but you have a price on your head, Cap." he flipped open the bottle of his flask, "And I know that a lot of the gangs back home would want some of that dough. Including the Crygs." he grabbed her arm, "No one messes with the Crygs."
Leah bit her bottom lip, where her scar was, as she thought. "They'll have to get to me first, Kameo. Don't doubt your old Captain." She replied, winking at him. "But, I heard that the Rivincita also wants me dead. . ."
"No, you don't understand, Captain." Kameo's face was paler than usual, "My dad's in the Crygs."
"Your dad?" She furrowed her brow in confusion. "The Crygs. . . what kind of reputation do they have?"
"Not a good one. Bloodshed, murder, fights, various other crimes." he shivered, "If there's one thing everyone knows in Cielo, it's don't mess with the Crygs." his face darkened, "I happen to know that better than most."
Leah nodded slowly, her eyes showing a little worry. She replaced it with a forced smile and rested her hand on the hilt of her sword. "I'll take our best fighters with us, Kameo. And then we'll get out of Cielo."
"As exciting as it sounds, I have to agree," Daso cut in, smiling comfortingly at Kameo. "We'll pop in, pop out, right cap'n?"
"What business do we have there anyway?" Kameo asked, folding his arms.
"I need some information. Just take the crew into the ports and stand guard. . ." Leah explained. "I can get a disguise. They won't recognize me."
(I think i'm just going to drop out. you guys have a great story going and my characters done nothing for the past hour.)
( Are you sure? You could change your character and get into it. You can be one of the fighter's she takes down to Cielo )
(Okay, i'll make her a fighter too)
Kameo nodded, "But my dad, he could recognize me." he thought for a bit, "I'll stay a bit behind when I'm walking with you guys. If good old dad drops in I'll just spray him with some of my poison." he grinned.
"Today's the Festival of Color. Everyone will be wearing masks and dresses. . . almost everyone will be unrecognizable." She added on, trying to assure Kameo.
"Good that." Leah nodded in response, turning towards Daso. "Get some instruments, you're going to be playing the part of entertainer. And I'll get a disguise on and some masks."
(Joanna's bio is on the first page if you want to know)
Joanna rifled through her artillery of cutlery and picked up a cheese knife. There was blood on it. She'd have to look into that later. Selecting a few knives that doubled as throwing knives, she walked on to the deck in search for the captain.
"Great." Kameo smiled, "I love festivals! And dancing." he winked at the Captain, "If it ever comes to it, save me a dance."
"Yes, captain!" He said, sweeping another of his bows. "Being an entertainer is what I do best." He headed off to find his lyre.
Leah grinned. "You got it. I'll be back." She walked towards the rooms, talking to one of the women on the ship.
As Joanna passed Daso, she caught him by the arm. "Don't suppose we could wait to start the fun until I've stocked up on food, huh?"
Kameo walked down his lab and stocked up on a few other concoctions/acids/poisons/bombs that he'd created himself and walked back up, vials and brass clinking under his coat.
To say Leah hated dresses and corsets was an understatement. After about twenty minutes, she walked back towards Daso and Kameo, frowning. Leah wore a dark dress with golden embroidery and a matching mask, her jade eyes unnerving and piercing. Her hair was sprayed a dark color and intricately braided. "I'm already disliking this 'adventure.' " She sighed, pulling on the dress she was wearing.
