Caelan spotted Kameo coming back with Leah and hopped off the ship, running to them. “What happened?” She asked, offering to take Leah instead.
"Not…good…Caelan." Kameo gasped, still refusing to let her take Captain.
"Attack." She breathed out, slipping in and out of conciousness.
“You’re about to fall, I can carry her,” she insisted as they headed towards the ship.
"Where's Daso. . .?" She asked, barely keeping her eyes open. "Is he okay?"
He climbed onto the ship and dumped Captain's body onto the ground. "Somebody…get me…a glass…of water."
"I don't know." Kameo admitted, staring at Captain.
Leah looked down at her shoulder, inspecting it. It was at least a five inch gash, almost exiting though the other side. She looked up and slumped back against a post, turning towards two other crew members. "Go find Daso. He better come back alive."
“Here,” she said, running into a a thing and bringing out water. “We should get you both into the sick bay.”
"I think he's already here." Kameo pointed at the medbay.
Leah pushed herself up, leaning heavily against the post, blinking out spots. She walked towards it, clutching her side.
Daso heard the commotion and ran out, caring little about the wound on his shoulder. "Leah," he yelled, spotting her. She looked…not good. Tears stung his eyes and he felt like a little kid. He swallowed back his terror. "How bad is she?"
“Not dying yet, but not exactly doing well,” Caelan said, gently putting an arm around Leah and bringing her down the stairs
Kameo heaved himself towards the medbay, trying to pretend that he didn't have 50 bleeding holes in his body.
She leaned against Caelan heavily, groaning as blood coated her hands.
"Someone help Kameo now. I can walk myself." Leah ordered, pushing herself upright.
"I'm fine." Kameo offered before he blacked out.
"No the hell you can't," Daso said, wrapping his arm around her to steady her. "Cmon cap. Lets get you patched up." He whispered, "Sorry I wasn't there to help you…"
She lurched forward and caught him. She sucked in a deep breath and did her best to half-drag half-carry him down the stairs.
He faded in and out of consciousness, "I'm fine. You need to take care of Cap."
"It's okay. . ." She gasped, wincing from the wound on her waist. "I was so scared. . . that you weren't okay. I thought that they had killed you."
“You two both need to stop playing hero and suck up your pride,” she scolded as she helped Kameo lay down. “You’re both in horrible condition.”
"Nope, I'm fine!" He said too brightly. Blood on his hands. He couldn't think of that now. He had to help Leah.
He woke up, fully conscious. "I'm fine." but he really wasn't. The pain caused Kameo to hold onto the mast as he pulled himself up and went down to his lab to find a nice healing concoction,
