Lucian gently dabbed at the wound, frowning when he noticed how deep it seemed. He picked up the morphine bottle and syringe, looking down at her. “I need to give you this so you won’t feel anything, okay? It won’t hurt, I promise.”
"I hate to say I told you so," Daso teased, "but…I told you so. You okay?"
"You're always right, sweetheart. I should have listened to you." Leah laughed, sitting down across from him.
Morrigan nodded. “Help Kameo.”, she repeated. “I’m not a pri-pro-priority..” she meant it.
Daso grinned, "Very true."
Morrigan nodded. “Help Kameo.”, she repeated. “I’m not a pri-pro-priority..” she meant it.
( That sounds like me when I try to read aloud to people xD )
Lucian stuck the needle into her neck carefully, injecting the morphine into her bloodstream. “I did, he will be fine. Rest your eyes, I’m going to fix you,” He said softly, peppering a few more small kisses along her jaw.
Daso grinned, "Very true."
"I can't believe I almost made you leave the boat the first time we met. . ." Leah sighed, shaking her head in disbelief.
Daso chuckled lightly. "You were so scary. I basically hid behind Ace for the first month." A fond smiled played around the corners of his lips. "I'll miss Ace. He was a great guy."
"I'll miss Ace too. He's the one who talked sense into me about you." Leah smiled, remembering the time they had argued about Daso for hours on edge. She had finally given in after she met him. "I was that scary?"
Morrigan’s eyes fluttered shut and she opened her mouth to protest but nothing cane out. Her pulse was weakening, but Kameo was in more danger than her.
"Uh, yeah," Daso laughed. "Your eyes were the greenest I'd ever seen. And the shadows your hat cast on your face? Intimidating."
Once Lucian could tell that she was closer to unconcious, he began to work on her wound, going through the motions as quick as possible. Occasionally, he would stop, and collect the blood from the floor into silicone blood bags.
(Okay, I'm going to be off for a bit longer. The fam wants to watch BH6.)
Lol bye)
Morrigan drifted in and out of hazy sleep, her pain muted. Hallucinations of her mother appeared an ddissapeared as Lucian worked.
"God, I didn't even realize. . ." Leah grinned, shaking her head and blushing a little from Daso's comment about her eyes. "To be honest, I thought you were pretty cute."
(Okay, and omg that’s such a cute but sad movie)
(Going to sum up the procedure because I don’t feel like describing it all.)
After a short time, Lucian finished pressing bandages to the closed wound gently. She had a bit of internal damage, but he suspected that she would be okay. He was unsure if she was fully awake yet, most likely not, so he set the few packages of blood aside and lifted Morrigan carefully, bringing her to her bedroom.
Morrigan barely felt his arms around her as he brought her to her room, head lolling.
"God, I didn't even realize. . ." Leah grinned, shaking her head and blushing a little from Daso's comment about her eyes. "To be honest, I thought you were pretty cute."
"Of course you did, I'm the cutest person you've ever laid eyes on," he said, winking. Then his smile shrank to a fond smirk. "I thought you were the most beautiful, scariest, and most powerful pirate to have ever existed."
Lucian pushed the door to her bedroom open and walked over to her bed, gently laying her down. He sighed softly, staying seated on the edge of her bed for a while, just thinking.
"Powerful. . .?" Leah said, raising a brow. "I'm not too sure about that."
Morrigan coughed weakly, rolling over to her side. “Sorry.”, she rasped.
Lucian was about to get up from the bed, but he looked over at the sound of Morrigan’s voice. “What are you sorry for?” He asked gently, leaning against his elbow to be slightly more level for her.
"Powerful. . .?" Leah said, raising a brow. "I'm not too sure about that."
"In the past week I've seen you face down some of the weirdest foes in the sea," Daso laughed. "And every time you kept your entire crew safe. I'd say that's pretty powerful."
