Morrigan locked the door before going over and sitting next to him, tears spilling over. “Cicada told me. I’m so sorry.”
Morrigan locked the door before going over and sitting next to him, tears spilling over. “Cicada told me. I’m so sorry.”
"D-don't say that." Kameo looked up at the ceiling, avoiding eye contact.
(WHAT ARE YOU DOUNG TO ACE IN THE OTHER RO?!?!?!)
Morrigan fell silent for a moment. “Is physical contact something you want now or would you prefer space?”, she asked gently, knowing consent was important at a delicate time like this.
"I need a hug Morrigan." Kameo turned to his side, holding his arms open.
Morrigan gladly wrapped him up in a warm, sisterly embrace, squeezing him reassuringly and rocking back and forth.
Kameo sobbed into her hair, holding onto her hug like it was a life line.
“Let it all out.”, she said gently, holding in her own tears while she rubbed his back. She felt an aching hole in her heart.
( back! )
After checking over the rest of the crew, looking over the rigging, masts, and supplies, Leah sat on the edge of the ship, looking down at the murky water. Grey clouds seemed to be advancing towards The Andromeda from the horizon. She looked up, humming a old folk song to keep her mind off of Ace and her siblings.
Kameo closed his eyes to shut the tears out.
Morrigan rubbed his back. “I know it’s not okay, Kameo, I wouldn’t lie to you and say that. But believe me when I say that crying will make it better.”
He nodded, "Tears are caused by an excess of emotion." he grasped Morrigan's hand and took a deep breath, "Talk to me. About anything."
Morrigan fumbled for something to say. “When Ibwas little, and my dad was mad at me and my brother, we would always run away from the house and down the ravine that backed it up until we reached a little stick dirt up in a tree that we’d found. We had books and a blanket and everything.”, she started, remembering.
Kameo tried on a weak smile, "That sounds nice." he started rambling, "My mom was a gypsy. She would dance and put makeup on and heavy perfume always filled the house and her heavy jewelry hung around her neck at all times." he got a dreamy look in his eyes, "She taught me how to dance and that's kind of where I fell in love with henna and eyeliner." he pointed to the black eyeliner on his eyelid, "My dad was the reason we had money. He owned a gang and he would steal, beat up people, that kind of stuff. I'm not sure if you've heard of them, the Crygs?"
Morrigan froze momentarily. “My dad made a deal with them once. Ever heard of Aaron Corvia?”
"The name rings a bell." he murmured, "Though I'm not sure if I want to hear about something terrible my dad did, because I know too much about that already."
( The Cryg's are after Leah, right? Time to run into them. . . evil laughter. )
(Crap. Nooo)
“Same here.”
She changed the subject. “Remember when I used to disappear off the ship for a few hours whenever we docked? I would go to the library and write down poems.”
(Is this role play just about making everyone miserable. Because I can do that!)
He sat up, criss-cross, and leaned in, "Read one for me?"
( Hm. . Cicada and Leah should make everyone miserable. .. )
(Team?)
( Yep. )
( Hm. . Cicada and Leah should make everyone miserable. .. )
It's too late. I have BIG plans for Kameo.
(Should we plan or???)
