Fade rolls his eyes and scoffs "Hardly, had nightmares all night, though I was finally able to get some sleep at four" He groans. "But how about you? You seem to be up very early, were you able to sleep?"

“Aw sorry.” Barry didn’t hug Fae, he knew he wouldn’t like that, but he wished he could. He shrugged in answer to Fade’s question. “Two or thee hours, not that bad.”

Fade smiles and shakes his head "Damn, you got it even worse than me" He laughs lowly. "Are you gonna get something to eat or did you already have your breakfast?"

Barry shrugged. “Don’t feel like eating.”, was all he replied, running a hand through his hair. “You?”

Peony smirked happily. "Cin Morn!" she bowed her head to the both of them. "Sleep was well for me… and you?" she asked Barry, closing her book.

“Hi Peony. Glad you slept well. Me… ha, sleep isn’t really my thing. Insomnia.”, he explained, offering her a friendly grin. “Excited for your first day?”

Insomnia…? she thought with a confused look. "Well us, very, yes…" she said with a shrug. "Many classes…" she told him as she took another bite of her pear. "The uh- 'new experience'… as you Americans call it."

He grinned. “That it definitely is. Don’t worry, you’ll love it here. It’s practically home.” More home than my house will ever be.

Fade just watches the two, then after a long minute of silence, he gets up. "Hey, Barry, can I talk to you for a second?" He says getting up, hoping that Barry would say yes.

Peony's eyes went up to Fade once he spoke. She gave Barry a wave away. "Talk to your friend. I will go and get more… fruits…" she got up and walked back towards the food.

"Alright!" Aether rushed towards her closet, deciding on her usual outfit. Flannel, skinny jeans, and her word black combat boots. Another glance at the time, and she decided it wasn't worth brushing her hair, since her breakfast was at stake here. Aether ran out of the dorm, hurridly locking it, and went to the dining hall. She hoped she wasn't too late.

Barry frowned slightly, brow furrowing, but he nodded. Getting up and following his friend, he made sure his expression was light and carefree, forcing the same ambience into his tone. “So what’s up?”

As soon as they left the dining hall, Fade turns around to him. "I'll tell you what's up, you've been acting shady since yesterday. I can see right through you! So you tell me whats up. what's been bothering you so much lately man?" He gives him a serious-worried look.

Barry was careful to keep a casual nonchalance on his face, giving an eloquent shrug and leaning against the wall. “I guess I haven’t been sleeping more than usual.”, he lied smoothly, his insides a wreck. He didn’t mention his dad. He didn’t mention his mom. He didn’t mention his sister. He didn’t mention Morrigan.

Fade narrows his eyes. "Really? Is that it? Is that why you had that look on your face the other day you dropped your guitar? Because you hadn't slept?"

(Night!)

Barry cursed in his head, a vision of peace on the outside. “It was a just a sad song. I was nostalgic. The exhaustion enhanced the nostalgia.”

Aether paused at the top of the stairs, spotting Barry and Fade having a heated discussion. Using her enhanced hearing, she listened in. What could she say? She was curious.

Magdalena rushed to a large room opposite the dining hall where the magic tests were always held. The giant doors opened automatically as she stepped into the room. The desks and chairs had been pushed to the side, and a teacher she didn't recognize stood in the middle of the room. The teacher smiled warmly, then began speaking. "I am Misses Walpher. I'll be in charge of your test today."

“Uh… alright.” Beau inspected the other burrito. “You know, I don’t really know what you see in the tubes.”

“I don’t see what you don’t see in them!” Oliver says and takes another bite

“I mean… I dunno. It’s very strange.” Beau set the burrito down.

"Well, regardless, you tires it and I'm very proud of you!" Oliver takes his arm again, "let's get you to your class, shall we?"

Fade seems like he's about to say something but stops himself. He rubs the back of his neck "I-I understand and hey I might be reading into this a bit much but I just want you to know that I'm here for you…" He laughs uncomfortably. "As cheesy as that may sound but what are friends for? amirite?" He looks down sort of spacing out for a second then snapping his attention back up and giving Barry an easy smile. "Well, I hope you have a good rest of your morning," He says sounding almost like a stranger.

"You too.", Barry replied, and he meant it. He'd checked their schedules, the only two classes they had with each other today were Potions Theory and Spellcasting (Puff are these acceptable randomly made-up-on-the-spot classes?), which were both after lunch. "And thanks. You too, man. I'll be here if you need to talk." Laughing quietly, he slung his bag with textbooks and supplies for the day up on his shoulder. "Now I sound like a therapist. You know what I mean."

Fade chuckles and bumps into him playfully as he passed by. "Yea I know what you mean…just" He sighs. "Never mind, I'll cya soon" He walks away and as soon as he gets out of sight he fast walks to the restroom "Oh shit, holy cow. Maybe that wasn't a great idea? What kind of person????" He stops and sighs again. "I should have pressed harder…..nah, I probably would of made him uncomfortable if I had…" He quickly splashes water on his face and digs into his pocket to take his phone out and check the time. He freezes and facepalms himself. "I swear one of these days I'll be chucking myself out that same window so I'll finally learn my lesson."
