"Oh, uh…" Castor began to explain, fiddling with the hem of his shirt as he glanced over at the man's crystal-covered arm, the words seeming to die in his mouth. "Are you an elemental?" He finally asked after a small pause, glancing up at the man again, racking his mind for any specifics that he had read about with his sister once.
Marcus smiled "that i am." he holds out he left hand "the name's Marcus, and you are?"
Cyrus laughed a bit as he finished the rest of his coffee. “What do you want? Just a coffee?” He asked, pushing to his feet and stretching his longer legs. He rolled his shoulders back, earning a few popping sounds from the movement.
Erikos let out a quiet whistle as he realized just how tall Cyrus was. "Damn man, make it a tall mocha," he laughed, grinning to himself as he folded his arms loosely across his chest
"C-castor," He answered, stammering faintly as he cursed himself for being so nervous around someone else. "You can call me Cas…or anything really too." He added, a faint smile quirking the corners of his lips up.
Baye watches the two through his hood. Literally through.
marcus chuckled to himself "you don't have to worry cas, i'm basically harmless." he sits back down on the bench
"I'm usually nervous around practically everyone," Castor answered, chuckling lightly as he held his coffee close to himself in order to stay warm. He shifted a bit in his spot, resisting the urge to fiddle with his glasses again. God, why didn't I put contacts in today? You just had to meet a cute guy in your glasses.
“You making fun of my height? I’m even taller when shifted, y’know,” Cyrus pointed out before stepping away. He ordered Erikos’ drink and payed, coming back to the table a few minutes later. He set the drink down and sat back in the same awkward position as before.
Marcus stood up "it's a bit cold out here, want to move this conversation inside?" wow you are messing this up marcus… reeeeeeeeal smooth
"No, no, the height thing is rad. You should consider yourself lucky you aren't as short as my sorry ass," Erikos laughed, taking the drink gratefully and taking a long sip
Castor nodded in agreement, moving to step into the cafe as he glanced around the room for an empty table. After a few moments, he motioned towards an empty one near a window as he looked over at Marcus. "Do you want to sit over there?" Castor asked hesitantly, running a hand through his darker hair in an attempt to fix it a bit.
marcus nods "yeah. here's lovely." what is going through your head Marcus? he wipes off the rain off of his crystal arm
Castor smiled a bit, beginning to make his way towards the table as he sat down in one of the seats, setting his coffee down in front of him. He had never really enjoyed coffee, though since it kept him warm, he had decided to get it. "So, uh, an elemental… what do you do exactly?" Castor asked, nodding towards Marcus' crystal arm.
Marcus sighs "i don't really do much, i mean i can just summon crystals out of nothing… other than that i really don't do much."
"No, no, the height thing is rad. You should consider yourself lucky you aren't as short as my sorry ass," Erikos laughed, taking the drink gratefully and taking a long sip
“I’m sure you’re average for your species. I’m very short for mine, some of us can get up to ten feet tall when shifted. Guess it just depends on how old you are,” Cyrus said with a loose shrug.
"Well I'm 5'11, which is short as hell for water spirits. My mom was like, six and a half feet tall when she wasn't disguising her true form," Erikos laughed
Marcus sighs "i don't really do much, i mean i can just summon crystals out of nothing… other than that i really don't do much."
"Trust me, that's more than I can do. I get to turn into stone, which can be incredibly painful at times," Castor explained, motioning to the cuts and the faint vitiligo on the palms of his hands and on his forearms. Being part gargoyle, whatever cracks were on his stone skin reflected on his shifted body.
"i'm sorry my friend… " wow… Marcus fidgets with his crystal arm.
“Guess we are both short, then,” Cyrus said with a slight chuckle. He ran a hand through his messy hair, crossing one leg over the other with his ankle resting on his knee.
"Well hey, look at that. Short buddies," Erikos chuckled. He took another sip of his coffee, eyes flicking absently along Cyrus' frame. He actually wasn't too bad looking, but he had to stop that train of thought there. He knew that people started running if he got flirty, so he tried to make a conscious effort not to stare too long
"I'm sorry my friend… " wow… Marcus fidgets with his crystal arm.
"No, no, it's fine," Castor assured him quickly, glancing towards his crystal arm as a faint smile tugged the corners of his lips up. He leaned forward a bit, studying the brightly colored pieces as he looked up at Marcus hesitantly. "Does the arm come with the elemental powers?" He asked, his foot tapping on the floor out of habit.

"yeah, want to see?" Marcus smiled straightening his posture
Castor nodded, excitement registering on his face as a small grin crossed his lips. He was a bit surprised that Marcus was being so nice to him, but hey, he wasn't going to complain.
Marcus held the crystal hand over the table and light shown from his palm, a blue crystal grows at a rapid rate as if it's being just raised from the table.
