Cyrus ordered a coffee and stepped aside as he waited. He picked at his nails, a bit of red substance dried up underneath them. It was blood, and it made his stomach churn. He eventually got his coffee and went over to sit down at a random table. He sat with his legs stretched out awkwardly, considering his legs were too long for his knees to fit comfortably.
(time is around sunset roughly)
Erikos' curiosity got the best of him, so he picked his coffee up and wandered over to the pale guy's table. "You mind if I sit here?" he asked, already mentally preparing for the guy to tell him off
Baye eyes the two, his ears twitching under his hood. That's gutsy He thinks to himself with a long, loud, drawn out sip of his coffee
Cyrus’ eyes flicked up to look at the man who had approached him. He could hear the man’s blood running through his veins and the sound kid his heart thumping in his chest. “No, I don’t mind,” he answered with a loose shrug. It was decently cleared out, why would the man want to sit here of all places?
"Sorry, this is probably going to sound like the most stupidly annoying thing you will ever hear, but can I ask what you are?" Erikos asked curiously. "I couldn't figure out if you were a vamp or ghost or whatever when you walked in."
Baye gets bored and looks away again, tilting back in his chair and sipping his coffee again
Cyrus just about chokes on his coffee at the question from the man. “What?” He asked, acting like the questioned confused him. If only he knew that he had a bit of blood stained on his teeth, and a piece of someone in between two of his teeth.
(yeah @ReallyBadAtUsernames you can join)
"Sorry, sorry, I'm just a curious person by nature. And you looked sort of like a wendigo, and I wasn't sure, so I just thought I'd ask," Erikos said, putting his hands up in surrender. "If it makes you feel any better the forest I live in has a great group of wendigos a little ways away from my river."
"Aw…" Baye smirks at the two taking another swig of coffee
“They don’t live in packs,” Cyrus cut in quickly, which was practically a dead giveaway. “Okay, maybe I am a Wendigo. How do you know about that stuff anyways?”
"Water spirit. Kicked the bucket about 200 years ago, popped back in as a water spirit demon thing while my best friend became a demon who didn't even remember me. So I picked a river and just kinda started hanging out there," Erikos said with a shrug. "But for the record, wendigos are cool. And I know they don't live in groups, the ones around my river just kind of live in the same general cave area."

“I’m surpised they haven’t all killed each other already,” Cyrus mumbled before speaking up, holding a more curious tone now. “Never met a water demon before. I don’t even know what the hell that is. Mind enlightening me?”
Baye sighs, pays for his coffee and leaves the cafe.
"Well, basically I got my dumb ass shot in a tavern roughly 200 years ago, my estranged mum happened to be a water demon, and bada bing bada boom I end up one after I die. Sucked ass though because my buddy Vien got killed right after me, and when he became a dimensional demon his memory got wiped," Erikos said with a shrug
The doorbell chimed as Bela strolled through, making a beeline for the counter as Arlo shrugged off the dirt on his coat and padded over and onto a chair at a deserted table. "Coffee - extra sugar and extra milk, thanks," she batted her eyelashes at the barista, before turning around and returning to Arlo, who was curled up and already sleeping on his seat. She sat down and looked out of the window; rain had begun to fall and she was wondering how she was going to get home without a car.
“That sounds completely insane. What can you do, being a water demon? Could you flood this whole place?” Cyrus asked, seeming like the chatty type as he took a long drink of his coffee.
"Yep, I could turn about a quarter of the city into a swamp if I wanted," Erikos said with a shrug. "Hell I just might if they don't stop polluting the damn water supply. My river keeps getting stray bits of sewage in it and it pisses me off," he said before taking another sip of his coffee
Baye sighs as he leans on the wall outside the cafe
(I obviously go to a pool party to miss a lot and then have to go watch fireworks as soon as I get back)
(oof, I missed some stuff.)
Castor winced faintly as he ran his fingers over the cuts and bruises on his hands, reflecting the cracks and chips on his other stone skin. Looking up after a few moments, he dropped his hands back to his sides as he walked into a calmer cafe, wishing that he put contacts in as he fiddled with his dark-rimmed glasses. There were a few groups of people inside, though many of the tables were empty as Castor approached the cashier, managing to buy himself some coffee.
