"Well I guess my attitude can be kind of edgy," Erikos said with a shrug. He grinned at Cyrus' surprise, a small laugh escaping him. "You wanna touch them? Just be careful, they're sensors so they can be kind of…sensitive?" he said, trying to find words in his stoned state
"Oh, uh, sure," Cyrus responded, a hand reaching out to touch one of the horns. It felt strange under his finger tips, and he pursed his lips slightly in thought as he felt them.
Erikos bit his lip as Cyrus touched them, determined not to hint how sensitive they actually were. They usually functioned as underwater sensors, which were why they were so prone to being like this
Cyrus felt the antlers for a moment longer before letting go and dropping his hand back to his lap. "Pretty cool. Why do you have antlers anyways?"
“Not sure why they’re antlers specifically, but they help me get my bearings underwater. Temperature sensing, auras, that sort of thing,” Erikos explained, the faintest wobble in his voice
"Huh, that's pretty strange," Cyrus hummed as he continue to look at them with a heavy gaze. He did notice the way that Erikos' voice shook, and he arched a brow in question. "You okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, no, I'm fine," Erikos said quickly, rambling a bit as he flashed Cyrus a grin. "Just…temperature changes and stuff can mess up the readings on my antlers," he lied
"Oh, alright-whatever you say," Cyrus responded. He couldn't tell if Erikos was being truthful or not. He was always terrible with that sort of thing.
Erikos, being the awkward idiot that he was, gave Cyrus fingerguns before returning to his chips. The bag was empty, but he didn't seem to care as he ate the bag as well
Cyrus laughed a bit at that, but it grew to more of a confused one when Erikos ate the bag. “That cannot taste good enough to eat,” he said.
“You’d be surprised. I eat just about everything as long as it’s somewhat food-related. And sometimes when it’s not,” Erikos said, shrugging as he finished eating the bag
Cyrus laughed a bit more, his nose scrunched up. “That’s kind of weird, to be honest,” he said. “Weird in, like, a cool way or something.”
"I'm pretty much the demon equivalent of a freshwater shark," Erikos said with a shrug before leaning across Cyrus and stealing some of his salad. He stuffed it in his mouth almost comically before making a face. "Salad is one of the things I only like half of the time."
“Really? Not a fan of vegetables?” Cyrus asked, though he tensed up reflexively when Erikos leaned over him. He grabbed a handful of salad and put it into his mouth, feeling it soothe his stomach.
"Specifically the really leafy lettuce. I mean I can do stuff like seaweed or potatoes or whatever, but lettuce tastes gross and leafy without dressing or something," Erikos said with a shrug. He was half tempted to go grab the packet of lunch meat he had in the fridge, but didn't want to make Cyrus uncomfortable with the meat
“Ah, I get that. It can taste a bit bland sometimes, but it’s mostly just refreshing to me,” Cyrus hummed, eating another small handful of lettuce before setting the bag aside.
"Probably because you're a rabbit in disguise," Erikos teased before leaning back against the couch. He was still hungry, but he was slightly worried that if he ate any more he would probably weird Cyrus out
Cyrus gave a snickering laugh as he nodded his head slowly. “Yeah, I’ll give you that one,” he said, keeping his long legs stretched out as he folded his arms across his chest.
Erikos glanced over at Cyrus' legs. "You have really long legs. Like, really long legs," he pointed out, his filter effectively gone thanks to the weed in his system. "Bet you're fun in bed. Do some yoga or some shit," he said with a laugh
“It’s just cause I’m tall,” Cyrus chuckled, but it turned to a nervous and timid one at the mention of being in bed. He hadn’t slept with someone in some time, simply because he hadn’t found the confidence to make moves on people.
"But hey, tall is good. My friend Argo is taller than hell, and he gets all the guys," Erikos said, gesturing widely in the air before setting his hands back down. He turned to Cyrus, now curious. "What're you into, my tall wendigo friend? Guys, gals, nonbinary pals?"
Cyrus laughed a bit, then thought about Erikos’ question. He had gotten in relationships a few times with really anyone. Looks were something he liked, but that was just a bonus if they had a personality he liked. “I guess anyone, really. I’m not picky.”
"Nice," Erikos drawled. "I guess I'm sort of in the same boat, though dudes are a bit more attractive to me," he said with a shrug. "In fact, when I went to that coffee shop I was sort of hoping to meet someone in that sort of way," he said, fumbling with his words for a moment
“Oh really?” Cyrus questioned further. Did Erikos think that he was attractive? He thought that Erikos was attractive, but he would rather get into a relationship before doing anything in bed.
“Yep. And low and behold, I find you,” Erikos said, gesturing to Cyrus with a chuckle. “But I’m weird and probably weirding you out, so I’m gonna shut up now.”
