"They're bloody boxer's too? How are we supposed to fight off all of these soldiers?" Baz muttered in thought, teleporting into different areas of the room as he managed to hack his way through some of the soldier's ranks.

"By putting them all to sleep!" Daus shouts. He focuses for a moment, taking his staff in both hands before slamming it down on the ground. A wave of what appears to be golden dust spreads out across the bar. People begin to fall unconscious one by one, effectively knocking out almost everyone

"Hey if it makes you feel any better, after reading these guys so much, can help with that." Al says, evading a volley of bullets. It was a food thing the bar was empty of civilians now. Al retracted the demonic tentacles into his body again. He sends a wave of sedation at all of the Shephards telepathically as a means of guaranteeing their slumber.

Meun panted heavily, the wave of dust taking a significant amount of energy from him. He falls to his knees on the floor, the dark reds and yellows fading from his body until he looked more or less the same as he did before

"You alright?" Baz asked, kneeling next to the other man as they fell to the ground panting. The other soldiers around them seemed to fall asleep, so he guessed it must have been from the other's magic. What were they exactly?

Al took the guy with the staff, helping him stand.
"You all good pal?" He asked.

@_sleeby_rat_

(idk, maybe she was hiding behind the bar or something?)

Meun nodded, leaning on his staff as he struggled to catch his breath. It had been a small-scale attack, but he was out of practice and his nightmare form had taken a lot out of him

"We need to get out of here before they wake up," Baz spoke up, his tone naturally mumbled and quieter though it was still quite urgent. Sure, the other man's magic seemed quite strong, though he didn't know when the soldiers would begin to wake up. If they could get out now, it would be better.

With the guy to his feet, Al stood himself, morphing the bladed appendage back into a hand.

"They won't wake up for a while. I suggest…I suggest we collect ourselves before taking our leave," Meun said as he finally managed to catch his breath

"I got a decent motel room we can head to across town." Al said. "Since these guys can't really go to the cops with this, we can just hide out there."

Baz nodded in agreement, glancing around the rest of the bar to see a few more figures in different areas of the room as well. The lights seemed to still be out, so all he had was the faint glow from the man standing next to them, which didn't provide enough of light in order to make out any features. Were they soldiers that weren't affected by the magic?

@_sleeby_rat_

"That would be appreciated," Meun said as he let his staff dissolve into whorls of starry gold smoke. He stood upright, the glow finally fading from his body

"Here you go, you'd better take these." Al said, handing his beige dirby cap and dark long, two-tailed trenchcoat to the guy with the abnormal hair.

"Thanks…" Baz started, though he paused once he realized that he didn't know what the other's name was. He looked towards them intently, though it dawned upon him that they probably couldn't see his face in the dark lighting. "Sorry, I didn't catch any of your names." He added.

"It's alright, I can disguise myself long enough to get to the hotel," Meun said, politely declining as he ran a hand through his hair. As he did so the color began to shift and fade until it was more of a whitish color

Deleted user

"Al." He said, taking out a pair of glasses with lightweight, angular silvery wire frames, and thick, heavy, sleek, tinted lenses. He put the cap and coat back on.

"Meun. And before you ask, yes, I know it's a strange name," he said quickly. He was a little embarrassed of his name, among most of his features

"It's actually quite nice," He answered, a rare, faint smile tilting the corners of his lips up as he looked towards Meun. "Oh, and I'm Baz," he added, realizing that he had nearly forgotten to mention his own name, even if it was the shorter version of his real one. Though, Baz practically loathed his original name anyway.

@_sleeby_rat_

"Well, um. Thank you," Meun said sheepishly, a faint tint rising to his cheeks as he ran a hand through his hair. "You have a rather wonderful name as well."
