(Good job, Dylan, tripping over your own feet. shakes head and laughs)

Avery's face turned deep red as Dylan talked, and she bit her lower lip.

Dangit. What the crap did I say?

Dylan fell, causing her to jump.

"Shoot," she muttered before reaching down to help him up. "Yeah, it seems so."

@Mr.Misfit

(I debated making him actually fall down the stairs, but I figured that would've been too over the top…)

After a brief moment of laughter, Dylan got to his feet with a little help from Avery. "Thanks," he sighed, still tired but much happier, "Okay. One step at a time with these stairs…"

@Imperfect_Autumn group

(Lol.
Have you ever seen/heard of Agents of SHIELD?)

"Yeah. We don't need any more injuries in our group," Avery declared. Her face was still flushed from Dylan's earlier comment, but she had to know what she said. She managed to choke out, "So… Uh, about last night… What, exactly, did I say…?"

@Mr.Misfit

(Nope…)

Dylan smirked, but kept his eyes on the floor beneath him as he trudged down the stairs, "Well, for starters, you told me my eyes were pretty. And cool. And we had a talk over who's eyes were nicer. I think I won that one.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

(Oh, it's a great Marvel show!)

I said what now?

Avery's blush deepened, if that was even possible. Her mouth moved as if she was trying to speak, but no words came out.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan went on, oblivious to Avery's plight, "And when I set you down to rest for a while, you wouldn't let me out of your sight until you fell asleep."

When he reached the bottom of the stairs, he glanced back towards Avery. Her face was a deep, bright red, and she almost had the look of a deer in headlights. It was almost funny.

"Hey, lay off the cherries from now on, ok?" He said jokingly, "You have more on your face than you do blood in your body."

@Imperfect_Autumn group

"Mm-hm," Avery hummed simply. She reached the bottom of the stairs and looked around, hoping for some sort of a distraction. To her left, she saw what looked like a kitchen, and she pointed it out to Dylan.

@Mr.Misfit

"Ah. Good eye," Dylan said. After a while of rummaging theough cabinets and drawers he came up with coffee filters and grounds, which he offered to Avery. He started on the eggs.

"How far back do you remember?" Dylan asked randomly, "Maybe you remember the truck ride here?"

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Avery accepted the coffee grounds and filters and set to making a pot of it. Her blush had gone down, but it resurfaced slightly at Dylan's question.

"It's, uh, a little fuzzy," she lied. The memory of the ride, and what happened before, was clear as day, though it really was hard to remember what had happened afterwards.

@Mr.Misfit

(Welp. That was a fun weekend trip to hell. Was everyone else busy, or were ya'll waiting for me?)

Dylan laughed, "Oh, a little fuzzy, eh? That's a pain." He cracked a new egg open and onto the pan, "To be clear with you, I'm having trouble believing that ever happened. I'm also confused as hell about last night. The two aren't going together well."

@Imperfect_Autumn group

(I was busy, too, but I was also waiting for you.)

Oh, it happened, all right, Avery thought, causing her face to turn slightly redder and a faint smile to play on her lips.

"Yeah, I bet," she said quietly as she watched the coffee brew.

@Mr.Misfit

"What do you think it was? The stone, I mean? I remember E mentioning some prophecy about a bunch of rocks that would kill us all, but the details are foggy."

@Imperfect_Autumn group

The coffee finally finished brewing, and Avery searched the cupboards for a mug as she spoke.

"I'd hope that it wasn't another one of those… What'd she call them? Oh, the Galaxy Stones. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that wouldn't end well." She found the mugs, but they were up too high for her to reach. Darn her slightly-below-average-height-ness! Turning to Dylan she gestured to the shelf. "A little help, please?"

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan raised a hand, and a shadowed version appeared in front of him, hovering above his own. He reached out towards the mugs, letting the shadow follow his movements until he had enough grip on it to move it with thought alone.

He snagged a couple mugs and set them down on the counter.

Closing his eyes, Dylan thought up a little set of instructions, and set a pair of hands to work making their plates.

(Ok, two questions. Do they know that it was the sun stone that gave Dylan his power? Or are they just chalking it up to an accident?

And where is the sun stone? I don't remember Dylan ever taking it from E.)

@Imperfect_Autumn group

(I think they assume that's what it was, but they can't exactly know for sure.)

"Thanks. Though I could have set the table myself," Avery declared, pouring herself a cup of the dark, steaming liquid. She moved to the refrigerator, looking for creamer. "Do you want cream or sugar?"

@Mr.Misfit

(Sugar in the fridge?)

Dylan glanced over Avery's shoulder, "Does she have any cocoa?"

(Ok… so where does that leave the stone?)

@Imperfect_Autumn group

(She’s just looking for cream first! Gosh. Lol.
Maybe we can say she left it for them, so they took it.)

“I’ll check,” Avery said. She found vanilla creamer in the fridge, then looked through the cupboards to find sugar and cocoa. After a few moments, she reached up and grabbed a brown tin, and, taking the top off to check, found that it was indeed cocoa, as she had thought.

“Yup, right here,” she declared, turning to hand it to Dylan.

@Mr.Misfit

Dylan took it eagerly and slid over to his cup. Using a small tablespoon, he scooped two spoonfulls into his cup, then stirred and put the cocoa back.

"Have you ever tried this before?" Dylan asked before he took a sip, "It's probably gonna be the death of me, but it isn't bad at all." He stared off into space, then looked back at Avery, "Say it was a galaxy stone. Say that my terrible experience was a galaxy stone. What do you think his does?"

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Avery poured creamer into her coffee. "No, I haven't. Is it like a mocha?" she asked before taking a small drink, careful not to burn her tongue, and sat at the table. After thinking for a moment, staring down into her mug, she carefully replied, "I suppose that depends on which one it is. I'm assuming the one you came in contact with was the Sun Stone, which leaves… the Planetoid Stone, the Galaxy Stone, the… Nova stone… the Eon Stone, the Forgotten Stone, the Black Stone, and… the Ice Stone. I think."

@Imperfect_Autumn group

"Well, if I remember correctly, the Eon Stone controls the powers of time, so I'd assume that Kaz would be able to do that himself," Avery guessed, taking another sip of her coffee. "But it could be any one of them, so let's not get stuck on any one idea just yet."
