Vaughn’s grip on the pillow tightened slightly as he slept. He would have hoped for Veronica not to send him to bed. He tended to avoid sleeping as much as possible because of occasional occurences, such as night terrors, for example.
(Whenever I think of night terrors, I think of Bedtime Story…)
Avery quietly shut the door and made her way back to the kitchen, where she sat back down next to Dylan.
"Did you want to finish our conversation?" she asked, putting her chin in her hand.
(oh god not bedtime story)
(oh god not bedtime story)
(Lol. It was a funny movie. Really, really strange, but funny.)
"Yeah, one sec," he responded, getting up and putting away his whiskey. He cam back and continued, "I had a cat named Timothy, and he was a fat cat. Like, Fat," He gestured with his hands, chuckling, "This wide. If he curled up and tucked in his head, legs and tail? He was a big furry bowling ball."
Avery laughed quietly. "That's funny. Moo is my lap-cat; she always wants to be on my lap or in my arms."
Dylan laughed again, "Timmy never sat on my lap. But he did lay with me. Oft times when I got home, I'd lay on my side on the couch, and he would fit himself in the crook of my arm. We'd watch movies together."
"Hm," Avery hummed. With a distant look in her eyes, she whispered, "I miss Moo… And my team."
"Whatever happened to your team?" Dylan asked respectfully, "I mean, we saw Thea, but where's the rest of 'em?"
Avery shrugged. "Here and there. Zephyr and my sister are probably in school. Obsidian is probably working. Psyonic was actually watching Sam, but…" she trailed off, a sudden wave of guilt crashing over her as she realized what happened. "Oh my gosh. She was watching Sam before he was killed…"
(sighs Just bumping this up… again…)
(Oh yeah… that's right…)
So how did the father get past her?
"What can Psyonic do? What is her power?"
(This isn't terribbly dead, it's just there are a lot of other active RP's.)
(Ik, and it just gets pushed down.)
"She can read minds," Avery informed Dylan. "It can be useful in finding out an enemy's plan, but it's otherwise useless… Don't tell anyone I said that, the girls would kill me."
"But can she feel people? Like, hear their minds if their close?" Dylan got up now and began pacing as he talked.
Avery glared at Dylan. "If you're suggesting that she played a part in getting Sam killed, you're wrong. She loves kids and she would never purposefully do something to hurt anyone. She doesn't even like having to take down bad guys."
(And now I'm back to being the only one here… Seems like no one is on any of my RPs…)
(I’m around, and I would comment if I could, but Vaughn’s kind of out cold atm..)
(I’m around, and I would comment if I could, but Vaughn’s kind of out cold atm..)
(… Yeah… I'd have Avery and Dylan wake him up, but I think they should go to bed, too. They haven't really slept in a while…)
(Yeah, I guess. You could just say that Avery was going to bed, and in here Dylan would follow, and then do a time skip to the morning?)
(Well, I would do that now, but they're in the middle of a conversation, so…)
(Alright, do whatever, doesn’t matter to me lol.)
(If I didn't feel like the conversation was going somewhere useful/interesting, I'd just skip it, but I do, so I'm gonna wait for @ShadowMisfit to respond.)
