(I've gtg. 'Night, guys.)
(I'm baaack! Avery's kind of asleep, though, so I can't really do anything with her unless she gets woken up…)
(tries to wait patiently)
(fails)
“The man I killed wasn’t his father,” Vaughn let out. He ran his hands through his hair, tugging at the strands. He went to his room, shutting the door behind him. He opened the window right away, his lungs craving fresh air. He changed out of his bloody clothes. He slipped on a simple tshirt and loose pants, which was much different from his usually proper attire. He then went outback, behind the house. He dropped the bloody clothes on the ground and lit a match, letting the clothes catch on fire and burn.
( Okay guys this is going to be really long. Basically its Element's goodbye. School is getting really time-consuming and I'm not going to be on this site as much, and so I have to leave a bunch of Rp's. Element loves you! Again, this is going to be really long. If you don't want to read it I'll have a summary at the bottom! )
Element walked out of the house, and into the woods. The sun was getting low, and she knew she should get back. On her way, heard a rustling in the bushes. She ignored it and kept walking, but then it happened again, so she stopped and looked around. A shadow moved near her, and she gasped. With a huge leap, she was in the air, flying as fast as she could away from Vaughn's cabin. The shadow continued to pursue her, crawling up the trees and leaping out at her. She tried to speed change into her suit, but to no avail. She was going to fast. She knew the shadow was gaining on her, so she dove down into the trees and right into a lake. Creating a bubble so she could breath, she swam to the bottom, and sat there for a second. The shadow hopefully would pass over… When she saw it move over her head, she sprang out of the water, and pulled it up to create an ice wall. After she froze it, she zoomed back towards the cabin. It was almost dark now, and once the shadow caught up to her there would be no escaping. She had to lead it away from her friends! She knew she had a short amount of time, so she landed in the yard and opened the door to Oscar. "Oscar its me!" she whispered. "I could really use some form of writing tools!" she pleaded. And Oscar gave them to her. She ran under the house, masking her left hand as a torch and using her other hand to write.
Avery, Dylan, and Vaughn,
Its Element. Something has happened, and I had to leave. The truth is, I don't think I'll make it back to you guys. I'm not actually from earth and my name isn't actually Lenny, but that isn't important. What is important is that something from my earth is after me, and if I don't leave it will be after you too. I'm sorry I have to go like this, it isn't fair to you. But here is some final information I found when I was gone.
The Flame isn't actually called The Flame. Its a cover up name. In reality, they are called Mutuwa, and they are almost as old as time. The Time Stone is Botswana, so you have to go there, and soon. Xelnarin is apart of a crazy plan, that has been going on ever since Mutuwa existed. The followers of the Mutuwa leader will use magic to drain his life force, and put into the body of his offspring. Its crazy, but its true, so basically Xelnarin is a reincarnation of the first Mutuwa leader of all time. If he gets the time stone, he can bring his actual body back, which will bring ultimate destruction. You have to get it first. Thats all the information I found that we didn't know of. Again, I'm sorry I have to leave this way. Please understand, there was so much that I was yet to tell you, and don't have time to tell you now. I understand if your angry with me, this isn't fair. I wish you the best on the rest of the mission. You can save the world guys, don't give up.
Sincerely, Ari. ( My REAL name. )
Ari dropped the letter inside the window, along with her glasses, and speed changed into her suit. She zoomed off in another direction, toward the "dead lands" beyond the city. Tears pooled into her eyes, and she let them come. "I didn't want to be here, but this isn't fair. Not this way." she whispered to herself, the wind rushing into her ears. She knew it was fair, because if she didn't go now, she'd cause them more trouble later. Once she reached the dead lands, she flew parallel into the ground, towards the sky. It was almost totally dark now. She shadow followed her up, going faster every minute. Once the sun disappeared, it would be on her. She moon approached, and it became harder to breath, so she created an air mask around face. With a shuddering breath she felt something catch her leg, and she realized the sun was totally gone.
The shadow had her.
She stopped trying to fly, and began falling, the shadow crawling up her legs and nearing her head. She was sobbing in the air, a horrible cold replacing the warmth that used to be in her limbs. She felt it crawl up her stomach, her sobs growing louder.
"Bumble bee… f-fly away… turn t-the… night i-into… the day…" she sang in between coughs. She shadow crawling up her neck, and she couldn't breath anymore. She closed her eyes, her icy tears burning her face, and felt herself breathe her last. The shadow crawled up the rest of her face, and she stopped falling. She stopped everything.
She stopped existing.
( okay I don't think that was very good, but in my defense I don't write many death scenes. Anyways, Element got chased by some monster shadow, and left a note for the three of you guys containing information about the flame. Then she flew off to lead the shadow away from you guys, and it overtook her and she died. Sorry I have to leave! Bye guys! )
(That was still pretty sad and shitty. But it’s okay, totally understand about the school thing.)
Vaughn had thought he heard Element’s voice saying the cars name out front. He walked around the cabin slowly, but by the time he got to the front, she was gone. He frowned and approached the car, noticing the note and her glasses. There was a ping of panic in his chest and he yanked the car door open, snatching up the note. He skimmed over it quickly, and the farther he got, the more his face fell. “Son of a bitch!” He exclaimed, then called for Avery and Dylan.
(NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's horrible! I hope school gets better for you!)
Avery awoke to her name being yelled, and she sprang off the couch.
Stupid! How could you fall asleep at a time like this?!? she thought as she raced out the door of the cabin.
When she got outside, she saw Vaughn, looking more ticked than she'd ever seen him, beside Oscar and tightly holding a note in his hand.
"What? What is it?" Avery asked frantically?
Vaughn shoved the note towards Avery, his jaw clenched tightly. Once she took it from him, he picked up Element’s glasses, handing them over as well. He knew that Avery and Dylan would want to keep them. He didn’t know her as well. Actually, he didn’t know any of them well.
Avery read the note as quickly as possible. When she got to the end, she started to tremble.
"No," she whispered, refusing to acknowledge the truth in the note. "No, she can't be gone. She's playing a joke on us. Yeah. Yeah, a joke. That's– that's right. That's gotta be right," she rambled. She clutched the note in her hand as if it were a lifeline. She couldn't believe that her friend was gone. It just couldn't be true.
(If you saw my post, ignore it.)
Dylan was slower to arise, but when he got outside and saw Avery trembling….
What now? What else could have gone wrong?
"What is it?" He asked, trying to keep the anger from his voice.
Vaughn shook his head, taking a sharp inhale. “I really don’t think so.” He was completely unsure of how to comfort Avery. The people in his life would never get upset like this, is was always people comforting him in his times of distress. He assumed she would want Dylan’s comfort, but he was obviously doing something. Was it really his place to grieve with these people? He knew their names, and that they were super humans trying to take down a demon cult. But that was all he knew, practically nothing.
(blinks I think you guys posted at the same time…)
(Yeah, just talk to Dylan.)
Avery thrust the note towards Dylan's general direction and set Ari's glasses on the car. Climbing inside, she blindly tapped an order to Oscar and all the windows darkened. Once she knew the guys wouldn't be able to see her, she curled into a ball and sobbed.
(Gosh, this is horrible. I'm legitimately really sad about Lenny dying…))
Vaughn turned on his heel, walking towards the cabin. He told himself it wasn’t his problem. He repeated it over and over mentally, wanting to burn the thought into his mind. He sat on the edge of his bed, feeling the covers mindlessly. He checked his phone, seeing a few missed video calls from Veronica. He called her back, sighing as it rang. “Vaughn, I heard about the kid on the news, you were at the scene?” His friend asked as soon as she picked up.
“Yes, I was,” he answered hesitantly.
“I’m so sorry you had to go there. I know you don’t like seeing children dead, especially because of Adeline-“
Vaughn cut her off at the mention of his baby sister’s name. “Please, just don’t,” He said, taking deep breaths. “I just need to get out of this cabin, can we get drinks or something?”
He chatted with her for a moment longer before hanging up. He payed on his back, using his forearms to cover his eyes.
(It’s pretty terrible, she was so young.)
Dylan read.
Every word rang in his mind, every syllable read in Element's voice. He imagined her as she wrote.
Rage filled his heart, and anger flared in his right hand, threatening to consume him.
He turned away, but didn't know where to go. He looked to Vaughn, unsure of what to say or do. He tried to start, "Just when I thought…."
He faltered, and instead fell with his back against the door of the car.
After crying by herself for a while in the darkness of her car, Avery's tears dried up and she could cry no more. She rubbed her tear-stained face with her hands and simply sat and thought.
What are we going to do without her? How will we continue this mission? Can we even continue it?
ok sorry its been a long work week
so I can join
(I’d say go on ahead.)
