(oh no) Pluto whipped up. "ASURA MOVE!" she managed to yell before stumbling and falling against a log, the blood loss finally getting to her
(oh no) Pluto whipped up. "ASURA MOVE!" she managed to yell before stumbling and falling against a log, the blood loss finally getting to her
Asura felt a heavy blow hit him from behind, knocking him off his feet. A thick, glittering tail swept over his head, lashing like a whip. The hissing got louder, then dropped into a smooth, melodious voice.
"What a pretty firefly man," the voice crooned. "Does it want to play with me for a while?"
(wait… why have I lost control over Asura?)
Pluto growled. Something dark curled inside her. Something angry. She unfolded her damaged wing, ripping through the bandages like they were made of butter. Black liquid oozed from the wound, slowly shaping into new feathers that glistened sharply. Her eyes glowed faintly, and the star pattern reappeared on her wings, this time streaked with lines of gold. The plants around her began to wither and die, and even the water seemed to be evaporating near her
(You haven't, I just had that happen really fast before he could react. You can have him be a boss now if you want. sorry)
(he's got a part on stage give him a moment. and I swear this is the last weird angel ability Pluto has, she's not that overpowered I promise)
(it's fine lol)
Mike stepped away, avoiding the atmosphere of danger that emanated from her. "Pluto? Talk to me. What's going on?"
Pluto ignored him, hands dripping into claws. More of the inky substance ran along the blades of her wings, which seemed to somehow elongate despite their already impossible size. She grabbed the clips of tranquilizer darts she had stashed in her pocket, crushing them between her hands. Their contents oozed out and seeped into her hands, and she tossed the empty shells away. She launched herself into the air, aiming for the snake demon
The demon heard her coming and spun to meet her, crest flaring. Her jaws stretched impossibly wide, long translucent fangs gleaming in the moonlight. Bunching up like a spring, she readied herself for Pluto's first attack.
Asura grabbed his staff, slamming it into the demon's chest and pushing her back away from Pluto.
Pluto ducked behind the frills, confusing it with an illusion that flashed across her wings. She raised a hand, slashing it across the neck. It did no real damage, the gashes oozing the black substance on her hands instead of blood
(yay, teamwork XD)
The demoness reared back, screeching. Her tail thrashed through the air, ribbing branches off trees and almost hitting both of them. She spit venom at them, her eyes flashing furiously.
Pluto moved out of the way, narrowly avoiding the venom. She took another pass at the demon, slashing it across the neck. She did a strange twirl, cutting it with her wings. The demon started to pass out, swaying back and forth
With a whine, she collapsed to the ground, writhing and clawing at her wounds. The delicate collar around her neck began to glow, and she shrank into the form of a woman with hair like silver and a jacket covered in rhinestones.
Mike walked up, surveying the damage. "Not how I would have done it, but good work. Doesn't look like those cuts will leave scars, luckily. Are you guys all right?"
Pluto landed shakily, chest heaving. She collapsed to the ground, unconscious as the replacement feathers melted away. At the very least, the blood had stopped flowing
"Ah. No, you're not." Mike got out his bandage roll again and crouched down next to Pluto. "Looks like Red's hurt, too. Dangit, this was a rough hunt. I'll have to charge Clay extra for compensation."
Pluto groaned, trying and failing to roll over
"Ey, you're fine, just lie still. I'll call Jacob and he'll bring some guards to get us back to the chopper." Mike allowed himself a grin. "Man, I wish you were working for me, Pluto. A little training and you'd give us an excellent advantage."
Pluto made a noise of acknowledgement before passing out completely, the pain and adrenaline finally knocking her out cold
Mike finished bandaging her wing and rocked back on his heels, studying his work. Then he went over to Red and tended to the wounds on her back, making sure she was okay. Asura seemed basically unharmed, so Mike thanked him for helping with the demons and set about getting in contact with Jacob.
Pluto muttered something in a language that didn't seem human in her state of unconsciousness, frowning at nothing in particular
(I gotta go to bed now, good night)
After a few minutes, Jacob arrived with some guards and stretchers, and they carried Pluto and Red back to the chopper. Clay was there, ready to yell at Mike for hurting the demoness, but Mike brushed by him without a glance.
"I'll need an an extra thousand for sustained injuries," he said, leaving Clay sputtering. "Take us back to camp, Jacob. The medic will have to look at these two."
"Yessir," Jacob said, having already started the engine. They lifted off and headed back toward camp with all speed.
Pluto groaned, rolling over a little. Her eyes flickered open, and she found that she was looking directly at the guards. It took her a moment to realize where she was, and she turned her head, trying not to accidentally frighten any of the guards with her appearance
(sorry I've been gone, found a box of old elementary school things and got overwhelmed with emotions)
(it's cool dude)
