Mike shrugged. "Nothing on me. We can drive back and check the battle scene, unless you have something, Cas."
Mike shrugged. "Nothing on me. We can drive back and check the battle scene, unless you have something, Cas."
Cas shook his head. "Driving back would be the best idea." Argo gave him a confused look.
"Can't you just-" Cas cut him off loudly.
"We're driving back to the battle scene now!" he said before walking out of the door.
Mike stepped out of their way, following them outside. "You know, you don't have to be all secretive around me. You clearly thought I wasn't gonna like your healing technique, but that turned out fine. I'd rather not be in the dark about you if we're going to be working together."
Cas frowned. He turned to Mike, lifting the bandages around his eyes. It revealed empty black sockets, and he put the bandages back after a moment. "I'm weak. Possibly dying. Ever since Balthazar left I've been running on borrowed time. I'm also cursed, which certainly doesn't help." He suddenly started coughing, and when it finally stopped he had to wipe away a bit of black blood
"Ah." Mike walked in silence for a second. "Sorry to hear that. Anything I can do?"
"Well unless you happen to know where Balthazar is, or my rings, then there's nothing you can do." Cas folded his arms, looking down at the ground. "How useless is a god of healing when he can't even heal himself?" he chuckled sadly
They reached the row of parked jeeps, and Mike opened up the driver's side of the nearest one. "You don't seem useless to me. If you ever get feeling really bad, let me know, okay?"
(brb, back in a bit)
Cas shrugged. "I've been like this for a few million years now, I'll survive," he said, hopping into the back of the jeep. Argo sat next to him, frowning concernedly at Cas. He turned, fishing a small pocket radio out of his suit.
"You told me it had only been 200 years." Cas sighed.
"Boo hoo, I lied. Doesn't really matter."
(yeah gtg for a bit too)
(aaaand now I have a doctor's appointment, sorry ^^; Seeya later sometime!)
(k, see ya)
"Wait," Yvette said, digging into her pocket. "I have something. It's not necessarily a part of him, but the man who hired me said that it belonged to him. He said that I could use it against him if I needed to."
Cas frowned. "What is it?"
She pulled a ring out of her pocket. "I have no idea. He didn't really give me a lot of information."
(sorry I'm starting to enjoy using Lucifer's ring)
(np lol) Cas took it before handing it to Argo. He frowned at it, sipping his coffee while he stared at it. "There seems to be no trace of him on it. Someone must have wiped it."
"Huh, wonder if Asura knew that when he gave it away." Mike glanced back at his passengers. "So are we going out for something or nah?"
Cas nodded, coughing a little. "Yeah, we need a feather or something."
"Okie dokie." Mike backed out and started down the road away from camp. "I'll be interested to see how you track a god. Never tried that before myself."
"It's usually difficult. It utilizes a specific kind of natural magic that you have to be born with the vast majority of the time," Argo explained. "I would have found Balthazar eons ago if it was easier." At the mention of Balthazar Cas frowned a little, putting his head in his hand as he looked out the window
"Seems like Balthazar's disappearance is causing everybody problems. I knew a girl from Blackwash who basically had to do his job for him, on top of getting hassled by Samandriel and his people." They turned onto a narrow dirt road and slowed down a bit, winding between the trees.
(lol that was Balthazar right? I suddenly doubt myself)
(yep lol) Cas nodded. "Her roommate is my adopted nephew's cousin. I am his second, which causes problems for me as well. I'm sure he was trapped or reduced, because he would not willingly leave us."
"Hm. Well, who knows, maybe we'll find him too. Anything is possible." Mike pulled into the burn site and parked, waving at the townsfolk who were already there cleaning up. "Right, let's see if there's anything left."
Cas nodded. He went to get out before realizing he was having issues with his legs. Human forms were tedious at best. "I'll just stay here," he said as the others got out. Argo gave him a concerned look before getting out of the jeep
Mike began pacing the area where Lucifer had walked, scanning the ground and the trees nearby. "So," he said to Argo. "Is it like a smell, or a bit of their energy, or how do you track them?"
"Well, first I need a piece of them. Physical is best, but I can track them with nonphysical remnants of them. It just means that their location may not be as accurate, or it make take longer to track them." Argo began to walk, sipping his coffee absently. He squinted at something in the distance, picking up his pace
"Okay," Mike said, following his gaze. "See something?"
