"What exactly are we planning to do once we find Lucifer?" Mike asked. "I assume we're going to try to save him since he's so important?"
"I don't know about you guys, but I plan on containing him and bringing him to my client," she said, putting Lucifer's ring on her finger and twisting it a couple of times.
"We'll have to cure him first. But if we can't, we'll have to kill him," Cas said, opening the door to the radio room
"Might be easier said than done, but I'm willing to help."
"I was told to bring him uncured."
Cas squinted at the girl behind the bandages. "Do you know how dangerous that is? The longer the parasite is in his system the more time it has to ingrain in his soul."
She shrugged. "I'm not sure my client really cares, and neither do I. As long as he's captured and doesn't pose a threat to the multiverse, then it's not really my problem what happens to him."
"Yes well I care about the parasite and what it is capable of!" Cas yelled. Unfortunately this caused him to break into another coughing fit, and Argo patted his back as he doubled over for a moment.
"Go sit down. Drink water or something," the radio played
Yvette glared at him. "Calm down. If you want to cure him, fine. Go for it. I'll get paid either way."
"So, is this parasite is contagious, by the way? And if so, can people other than gods catch it?"
Cas scowled, sitting on the counter next to the radio. "Yes, of course it's contagious. Thankfully it's only transmitted through blood, or if you come in contact with the actual crystal. There's a far higher death rate for mortals than gods, and gods have a higher chance of overcoming the parasite. One of the main gods where I'm from has actually overcome the parasite."
"In that case it's even more important that we find Lucifer quickly before he starts an outbreak."
"And it would probably be a good idea to avoid combat with him, if its transmitted through blood."
"I'm bringing a long-distance weapon then. Any recommendations?"
"Keep him trapped in a single dimension for as long as possible. It keeps him cut off from a power source. When fighting him, get him to use his fire. It'll drain him," Yvette said, drawing lines of green fire in the air out of boredom.
Argo nodded. "I have specialized weaponry in Molhaven. It would take me a little bit to retrieve it, but the vast majority of the weaponry is long range or AI." Cas nodded.
"Yeah. The best thing to do would be to tranquilize before using lethal force. If we can tranq him, we can cure him."
"Got it. Tranqs are my forte, so that shouldn't be a problem."
She frowned. "Weren't the tranqs ineffective when you tried to use them before?"
"Those were standard tranqs we use on demons. We have special chemicals that can repress magical abilities, so that would probably be more useful in this scenario. We also have a serum that traps demons in their human forms. Not sure if it would work on a god, but it's worth a try."
Cas frowned. "Does Lucifer have a human form? Or at least a weaker alternative form? The parasite causes creatures to revert to their true forms, but trapping them in alternate forms is possible."
(gtg for a few minutes somebody is presenting a senior project)
(I pray for your sake it isn't one that's like 12 minutes long)
(it was one that was about 20 minutes long but it was actually pretty interesting)
"If he's anything like his siblings, he can change into any form."
