"It's been done to others in the past. Inspa is a very….bright star, from what I've seen." He grimaced ruefully. "Our social brunch last week was rather tense."
(I gotta go for a while, I'll be back later in the evening)
(K) Pluto scoffed. "Bright star? More like a black hole. Asshole kicked most of the gods to the curb, and I hear she's trying to figure out a way to off Samandriel. Guy may be after me, but he thinks he's doing the right thing to protect his people. Good guy, just real gullible."
Asura snatched his staff of the table, placing it into a dimensional pocket. He considered just leaving. He never wanted to get himself into this mess, and it would be so much easier for him to just fuck off to some random corner of the universe. But instead he leaned forward, knowing that he had a responsibility, and listened.
(btw that's just a bunch of junk you don't have to read all of that)
(trust me, friend, I always read every word. Also nice name XD)
"Yes," Blake said to Pluto. "If I am able to concentrate my entire power, I'll feel much more comfortable about being Inspa's next-door neighbor. Another reason I'm asking you to help me break this curse. But that can wait until you're done with this little mission of yours. I'm willing to open up a gate to Lucifer's realm for you, if you need it."
"I need a plan before I go over there first…"
"Yeah," Mike agreed. "I forgot that was the whole point of our jumping dimensions in the first place. Maybe we should recap what we're trying to do for the others."
(my responses will slow down but I'm here)
"Wait wait wait, no one mentioned going after satan himself," Pluto said
"Yeah, he's Asura's brother," Mike said. "Only one of them can be a god at a time, and Asura wants a turn. He hired me to help him pull a coup, basically."
"Oh, lovely. More gods to hate me. Why not call the entire damn multiverse's gods and say 'Hey, come murder Pluto, he's only supposed to be a fugitive in a few dimensions but hey, paid murder!'"
"I would never murder you," Blake said, looking delicately offended. "Your reincarnation would be far more powerful, it always is."
"Reincarnation? Last time I checked angels just get a whole lot of death and their own slice of purgatory." Pluto eyed him suspiciously. "You sure there's an afterlife for my kind?"
"Well, now…" Blake coughed. "…I'm not really supposed to disclose that information. Sorry. But suffice to say, you still have options in that regard."
"And my mother was a dinosaur," Pluto scoffed, chugging the rest of her coffee
"Anyway," Mike cut in. "That's the general plan, to knock Lucifer from power and put him somewhere he can't immediately return from. As Asura said, we're not really clear on the details yet. It might be a good idea to do some spying on our target and his realm before we try anything."
"I know where we can put him. It's awful but he'll live," Pluto piped up
"Called the meltwood. It's a sentient forest that can be found in any dimension if you look hard enough. The purgatory rings would be the best place to stash Lucifer."
"Ah yes, I've heard of that place," Blake said, sipping his tea. "It does seem like the perfect location to hold a fallen god of his level."
"Yup. If it can hold the ol' Paeans and a couple other nasty creatures I've tangled with, it'll hold Lucifer. It's not exactly foolproof though, but he'll get lost before he ever finds his way out. My friend's got a key to the purgatory rings too, we've just gotta lure Lucifer into the ring."
Mike sat back. "Sounds great. As long as we know where that place actually is, and how to avoid getting stuck in it ourselves."
"Shouldn't be too difficult. Cassiel and Poncho run the meltwood ring back in my dimension. I have no clue who runs the rings here, but I quite frankly don't want to find out. The two of them should be able to make sure that we can set a trap in the meltwood without getting stuck ourselves, and then we can trap Lucifer and make a speedy recovery away."
"And of course, I can help with the luring, if necessary," Blake added. "I love tricking people who think they can't be tricked."
"Awesome. The more the merrier. But we'll have to get past Samandriel again, unless something changed in his status. And we'll probably need to break your curse to get you to Blackwash, which we'll need Cassiel's help with anyways."
