Blue took a sip of his tea, but it was too hot so he choked on it for a spell and dropped the cup in shock. It spattered over the table, some landing in Blue’s lap. He nearly shot up, already embarrassed at making a scene, and grabbed a fistfull of napkins. Blue tried to dry off the table and ignore the burning pain of the hot liquid on his pants at the same time. His face was probably so red from embarrassment.
Alexander looks up when someone drops their tea. He grabs a few napkins before walking towards the male. "Are you alright?" He asks, handing the male the napkins he had retrieved. He smiles softly.
Blue nearly jumped out of his skin, going pale. He stuttered out, “Oh- I-I am- I’m sorry, I -uh- didn’t see you,” Blue starred for a bit at the nice handsome guy before the situation clicked back into place and he went to wipe down the table again, avoiding eye contact.
Izzy watches with a raised eyebrow. "Jumpy little fella, isn't he?" She asks. Alexander raises an eyebrow before helping the other clean up, humming quietly under his breath. His grey eyes glance over at the other. "You alright? Did you get burned anywhere?" He asks sweetly.
Blue glanced at his wet lap, heat once again rising to his face, “Uh… kind of…” They would need to dry, but Blue didn’t have any extra clothing with him. He would have to wear the embarrassing stain for the rest of the day.
(I'm gonna drop out of this. Doesn't seem like I can interact with any of the characters. Byeee)
(Oh, okay then.)
Jophiel dips his water in silence, watching as the assorted people around him went about their business. He felt a pulsing, as a slip of paper came zipping down from a small, distorted portal in the cieling. He caught it. It was an assignment.
"Joshua Magniscond"
He felt his natural abilities bolster, and sighed in relief.
Alexander looks at Izzy and she shrugs. "I don't see any major damage." she says. Alexander nods. He slips off his trench coat. It had been a little misty today, so he wore it so he wouldn't get wet. He hands it to Blue. "Here, use this." he says kindly, holding up his jacket for the other to take. "That way you don't have to worry about going to work with a stain when you go to work." he says, smiling slightly.
"I can take care of that!" Jophiel offers, snapping up. He thinks it, waving his hand, and the liquid disappears, and new liquid reappears in the cup .
Jeez it felt good to have an assignment. Now he could take power directly from Heaven.
Zhavia stormed off to her room and slammed the door shut behind her. Who gives him the right to treat me like a child! She ate her food very aggressively. He was right about saving up energy and strength. The empty tray was left on her desk and she sat on her bed looking the window. So close. Tomorrow they will be arriving on a new planet. Why though? They never gave her the details about why they were going there. Doesn't matter now. Her fingers brushed up against the scars on her neck. Zhavia already gave her word to serve the King no matter what and she planned to do so. Or at least she tried to convince herself of that.
Blue jumped when the tea disappeared from his lap. He glanced at the man who helped him, “Th-Thank you,” He really shouldn’t have been surprised because of how there seemed to be a lot of magic in this town, but… Blue was always jumpy around strangers. He looked shyly at guy who offered him a jacket, “Thank you, but I guess I’m okay now. But,” Blue couldn’t look directly at his beautiful silver eyes, “I- I’m- I don’t know where my job is. I, um, just moved in and I’m supposed to work at,” Blue fumbled around in his pockets until he found the envelope his employers sent him. He opened it up awkwardly. It read: Dear Blue Keifer, due to recent a bankruptcy of our southern company, you have been moved up to work at Reanne’s company up north. Have a nice day. Blue showed the guy his letter. “Reanne’s?”
Alexander smiles softly and nods, he pulls his trench coat back around himself then looks at the other, his smile still welcoming and warm. The other was extremely jumpy, and fumbled over his words, but Alexander could care less. He smiles gently and nods, "Sure I can help. I'm on my way to work as well. I work at a restaurant not far from there. I can take you if you'd like." He says, Izzy huffs softly. "You're to nice sometimes, Alexander." She says chuckling softly.
Zoe watched from the corner of her eye, what was happening but didn't bother to do anything as she farrowed her eyes at the screen. A4, we are sensing some disturbence at the northern side of the hemisphere. Can you go and investigate? A message appeared on her screen. Clicking away, Zoe pulled up the dimensions and pixtures of the area before she zoom up, carefully analyzing what was going on.
“Really?” Blue asked hopefully, and started wringing his hands out of habit, “I would really appreciate it if I’m not to much trouble”
"Yeah, of course." He chuckles lightly. "My name's Alexander, what about you?" He flashes a bright smile before extending his hand out to the other. His hand is calloused, but gentle. Firm but somehow soft. He chuckles. "You're really no trouble at all."
“I’m Blue,” He replied and shook Alexander’s hand. The other’s hand was warm and gentle, and it drew out a small smile from Blue. He felt slightly more relaxed now that he knew his name and shook his hand.
"That's a very cool name," Alexander says his smile never faltering. He looks at the other, "May I ask, what kind of tea was that?" He asks curiously. Alexander gently lets go of Blue's hand.
“Oh, it was chamomile,” Blue said, looking at the cup.
Alexander walks towards the counter. "May I get a chamomile tea and a mocha please?" he asks, smiling softly. "It's cold outside, gotta keep you warm somehow." he says cheerfully towards Blue.
Blue eyes widened, “You’re too nice,” He said, and immediately started pulling out his wallet and walking over to the counter. He fiddle with the ratty one dollar bills and change. He only had one ten dollar bill on him today…
Alexander chuckles and places his hand on the others. "Don't worry about it. I'll pay." he says kindly. "No need to worry about it." He hands the cashier his credit card. He hums softly as he smiles towards the other. "So where'd you move from?" He asks curiously.
“Just down south, (I’m going to assume they live north of Florida if that’s okay) I came from Florida,” Blue said, looking at Alexander paying for him. He felt like he didn’t deserve all this nice treatment. He could hide the small, appreciative grin coming to his face, “My momma always said to my father that I looked like I came from Alaska since I’m so pale. She would tell my father, ‘That boy needs to fit into his roots, he’s paler than the sand’,” Blue hummed quietly, “I miss her.”
Alexander nods, "I can understand being told I pale. I burn fairly easily." He chuckles lightly. When mothers are mentioned he furrows his brow. His mother had called him a freak and sent him to a mental hospital. Only when he claimed he could no longer see ghosts did she allow him into her life. He smiles, "Your mother sounds like a wonderful person." Alexander taps the counter as the woman behind the counter comes back with their drinks.
“She was,” Blue affirmed quietly, “Father never really got over her death. He turned to…” Blue debated glossing the story over or just telling Alexander. He decided on the latter, “He turned to alcohol a lot. And he- well he wasn’t the same person as he was before,” Blue had always tried to drown away the bitter memories of his father, but they always seemed to be the most prominent. For a moment Blue wondered if he wouldn’t be so socially awkward if his father hadn’t abused him. If his mother had never gotten cancer. Blue shook his head and looked back at Alexander.
"I never really met my father. He was never home. When he did come back, he went straight to bed. One day he just upped and left." he says, shrugging casually. He takes the drinks thankfully and hands the tea to Blue. "Not that I mind." He hums softly. "It's just a short walk from here. Would you like to walk it or take the bus?" He asks, smiling at the other.
