“I tried to disappear for you like you wanted. Then I wouldn’t be ghost of your past, I would have been gone so you could be happy,” he tried to validate his suicide.

(Don't get me wrong, it's a really good movie, but from a reader's perspective, it was shit.)

(Lol. Books have more detail and like… emotion? I prefer them because I feel more connected)

She shook her head lightly. "No, I was being selfish. I could've ruined everything. Darren would've been broken up which would be affected Lillian, Ryan, Neal, and eventually it'd make its way back to me."

But my death doesn’t effect you directly? He sighed with a broken look in his eyes, “Please don’t leave me,” He whispered.

(In the book, someone straight up DIES. In the movie, nothing.)

"And not to mention, how it'd affect me. I would've been so torn up. So guilty and broken." She could feel the tears start to return.

A tear rolled down his cheek , “I’m sorry,” he was in disbelief that she was here after she’d left him.

"I know, it's surprising that I'm even here but I knew I'd made a mistake. While I wasn't sure I'd be able to muster the courage to fix it, at least I could say I tried. But since I'm here, then clearly I'm trying to fix it."

“Ryan said you have a promise and I was wondering how I get myself one of those?” He smiled a little through light tears.

"A promise?" What promise did you make to him? I completely forget.

“That you wouldn’t leave each other,” he clarified a little quieter.

She smiled a little. Of course that's what it was. "Well, it depends on what you want that promise to be."

“All I know is if I watch you walk away one more time my head might explode. I don’t want you to leave and I won’t leave either. You know?”

She smiled a little. "I promise."

He took a deep breath and nodded, “Okay, I promise too. No more leaving.”

"Just don't give me a reason to leave." She giggled lightly.

He smiled. “I’ll work on it…”

(Alright, I can't sleep in a dead silent room but I'm certainly going to try! Night!)
"I know you will." She kissed his forehead lightly. "Love you too, demon." She was his angel and he was her demon.

He smiled as he pulled her into a hug as much as he could. “Sorry for scaring you,”

(That, was fucking adorable.)

Lillian was put in the waiting room. Her head rested on the backs of her hands as she stared into her lap. Of course it happened today. Everything goes wrong today.

Darren looked over at Lillian. “Whatcha thinking?”
