"I think it comes more from a place of care?" Lillian suggested to Bal, "As in he has faith in you, he justs wants to be ready for the worst-case scenario?"
"I think it comes more from a place of care?" Lillian suggested to Bal, "As in he has faith in you, he justs wants to be ready for the worst-case scenario?"
"Awfully negative, do you not think so?" Bal walked out of the cave and into the red, stone world.
"I guess so," Lillian followed him out sticking close to his side, "But I honestly do want to know how to defend myself too."
"You know the basics and you seem like a learn as you go kind of girl anyway," Bal started walking until they reached a dark staircase. "Be ready for anything,"
Lillian felt her face harden just ever so slightly as she nodded, "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. Let's just not die okay?"
"No one's going to die," Bal reassured as he started down the roughly chiseled steps. At the bottom, there was a maze of tunnels dimly lit by large torches connected to the walls by sconce. Bal seemed to know his way through.
"You don't know that," Lillian muttered to herself as she stuck close to Bal. Considering how maze-like this place was she didn't want to end up separated given it was unlikely she was going to be able to find her own way back.
(Surprised you're still here)
(Why? I stay up forever nowadays. As long as I don't have class stupidly early the next day)
Bal stopped walking and pulled out a pair of hand cuffs. They were human sized so they looked tiny in his large hands, "Put these on, you'll look like a prisoner and then no one will question us,"
(I'm grateful cause usually no one is awake as long as I am)
(Why isn't greatful spelt like this I think about this a lot)
(To be beautiful is to be full of beauty… to be successful is to be full of success… to be respectful… yeah you get it. How can you be full of grate… what is grate)
(GRATITUDE)
(nevermind)
Lillian put the sword away as best she could as she took a shuddering breath. She then took the cuffs and tried to put them on, "A little help? Hard to put on handcuffs on my own."
(…What? And yeah, I don't sleep anymore. Isn't that just great (: )
(They shall call us the insomniacs)
(…Or crazy. Both work)
Bal helped her out. They continued walking down through the tunnel. Demons walked past and glanced but didn't stop them at all. Finally, they got to the end of the tunnel where they were met with a door that stood nearly twice as tall as Bal and was medieval in style.
Lillian kept her head down the entire time. Partially to keep up the act, partially because she was terrified of what she might see if she looked up.
(I have no more motivation for work)
(any good music recs?)
(Uhhh no. Latest music I've been listening cough obsessed with cough too has been fandom based.)
Bal raised his fist to knock but before his knuckles hit the metal door it began to open slowly. It was some sort of throne room. Someone began to speak, the voice was neither masculine nor feminine and they weren't speaking english.
