Lillian slowly relaxed, "No it wouldn't be."
Lillian slowly relaxed, "No it wouldn't be."
“Everything will be fine,” he grinned as they pulled up to the beach.
Lillian didn't smile back as she looked into his eyes, "Promise me?"
He rubbed his hand over her leg. “Promise,”
Lillian smiled back and placed her hand on his, "Thank you. Now come on let's go."
He nodded and got out of the car, towel in hand, walking toward the beach.
Lillian got out with a towel and followed Darren to the beach. Surpassing him at one point.
Darren smiled… swimming! He walked over and laid his towel down on the sand before making a full sprint for the water.
Lillian laughed as she laid her towel next to his before chasing after him into the water. It was cold, holy shit.
He didn't care about the water temperature. He kept running until a wave took him under.
Lillian froze for a second, oh god he would be okay right? Right. He's fine stop freaking out over everything!
She had a mental shift to make. Mr. Anderson didn't have cancer anymore, he didn't need to be watched and worried about quite as much as he did before. He came up with a big grin.
She really did, and it might take a while. She let out a sigh of relief as he came up and returned with a big grin slowly making her way over to him.
He was floating on his back, just enjoying the sun and the water. "You know, the sun can give you cancer,"
"Yeah, can we not get another type of cancer yet?"
"Brain cancer wiped me out for life, I don't need any more cancer for the rest of forever,"
Lillian laughed, "I know babe."
Darren stood up and looked at her, "I'm so happy it's summer again,"
Lillian smiled and moved up next to him, "Me too."
"I looked into performing arts schools in New York,"
"You did?" Lillian said with slight surprise, acted surprise.
