"Well I guess the only thing I figured out I don't love is calamari. " she said chuckling a bit
“Well, you haven't tried the coconut shrimp yet.” he reminded her.
"Ah yes how could I forget. "
“I hope you like it.” he smiled. “Have you had coconut before?”
"I have yes but I didn't really like it that much. " she admitted softly
“Oh, well alright then.” he nodded, accepting her preference.
"Do you know around what time it is?"
“Umm… I’m not sure. I think… Maybe around 10:30?” he guessed, uncertaintly.
"Where you still wanting to go to the beach after this? "
“Sure! It's not like the beach closes.” he chuckled.
"Well I know that much I just figured I would enjoy the beach better if it was empty. " she said laughing softly
“True. But most of the beach is hardly ever completely empty.” he pointed out. “Some people have bonfires until way after midnight. But there are some hidden coves that we can check out.”
"Sounds like fun , but I didn't know you were aloud to start fire's on the beach. "
“Hmmm… Yeah, I'm not sure if it's really allowed either but I know that people still do it.” he shrugged.
"Huh well you know this place better than I do so I'll just follow you. " she smiled at him gently
“Alright.” he smiled back. “And I won't let you get lost.”
"Oh why thank you I appreciate that. " she said with a smirk
“Any time.” he smiled. “Like you said, I know the beach pretty well. When I'm not at my job, I volunteer with the keep the beach clean organization.”
"Oh really that's amazing. "
Marcus shrugged. “I don't know about amazing but I try to do my part. It's kinda annoying when you're trying to relax on the beach and there's trash left around from other people.”
"Yeah I can imagine but I still think what you do is nice you don't have to do it but you want to I think it's sweet. "
Marcus could feel his face warming at her comment as he fumbled for a reply. “It's nothing.” he eventually mumbled, clearing his throat as he took a sip of his drink.
"I don't see it as nothing . " she smiled at him taking a sip of her drink as well
Marcus blushed a slightly darker shade. “Well, I guess it is nice. And I do enjoy being on the beach even when I'm cleaning it up.” he admitted.
