“I try to.” he shrugged with a chuckle.
“I try to.” he shrugged with a chuckle.
"Uh huh. " she laughed a bit and leaned her head against Marcus
Marcus could feel his face warming at the light pressure of her head against his back. But he was admittedly relieved by the fact that she couldn't see it.
She kept looking at road signs hoping she could remember there way there
Marcus only glanced at the signs every once in a while, just to make sure he was going in the right direction as he wove expertly past the few other cars that were out.
"So how long have you been riding? "
“A few years.” he called back. “Though that's just for motorcycles. I've ridden other things too.”
"My parents wanted to teach me how to rid as soon as u was able to walk I started out with dirt bikes and then once I was old enough I got into the more expensive stuff. " she laughed a little at the memories of her parents jumping with excitement when she first learned how to ride
“Mine too!” he laughed excitedly. “I even signed up for a couple of BMX competitions when I was younger.”
"Your kidding?! ,my expertise is mostly motor vehicles but bmx sounds fun."
“That's amazing! And no, I'm not kidding. I actually broke my arm once during a race.” he answered, very excited that they had something like this in common. “Ah. There's the beach.” he informed as he turned off the main road.
"Ouch that doesn't sound very fun" she said with a light chuckl "oh sweet okay. " she gripped his waist a little tighter accidentally once he pulled off the road
“I wasn't. I had to sit out the rest of the racing season just to heal.” he laughed with her, smiling a little at her hold as he started to pull into a mostly empty parking lot.
"That had to suck big time. " she sat up a little more once he stated that they arrived
“It really did.” he nodded as he parked the bike and turned off the engine. “I’m a very sports/active person and a lot of the stuff I do pretty much requires both arms. So, you can imagine how bored I was during that time.”
"Yikes, I bet you were. " she slid off the bike and pulled off the helmet
“Yeah.” he nodded as he got off the bike and stretched a little. “But once I was off the pain meds, I started joining a couple marathons. As long as I kept my arm still, I was fine.” he smiled.
"I've had my fair share of broken bones so I know how it feels. " she handed him the helmet
Marcus chuckled and fastened the helmet to the bike before walking over to her. “Are you in any sports, besides biking?”
" i do motor sports but that's about it. " she said as she up smiled at him
“That's cool.” he smiled. “Personally, I do a lot of sports stuff… just not professionally.” he admitted with a shrug.
"Well are you good at the stuff you do? " she nudged his arm with a smile
He shrugged and waggled his hand like a scale. “Some better than others, but I do most of them for fun anyway so it doesn't bother me if I lose.”
"Well have you ever thought about doing them professionally? "
“Yeah, I've thought about it but then I'd have to choose one over the others and I enjoy them all.” he explained. “Plus, I’m happy where I am. Who knows, maybe I’ll get to teach someone at the gym who’ll end up being a pro.”
"That would honestly be amazing, so where is this place you wanted to show me? "
“Yeah, I think so.” he smiled. “Oh, it's down there.” he told her, pointing down the beach. “Come on.”
"Alright." She followed him with a smile on her face
Marcus grinned and walked down the beach, already debating on taking his shoes off. “First time on a beach?”
"Yeah, is that bad? "
