"It's… Difficult to explain," James decided after some time of thought, "You were never going to be simply tossed away, just never my biggest priority."

" but you see I thought you would because I was convinced every guy was a shallow soulless waste if space who only hurt girls like me" she said

"What? No!" James replied seeming almost offended she had thought so little of him, "I would never do that."

" I know it's just glued in my brain " she said

"Well, I suppose I'll just have to unglue it," James said after a moment of thought.

" you're the only guy who's ever actually acted like they cared about me "

"I, well that's unexpected," James had nothing else to really say about the matter.

she shrugged throwing her hands in her lap

James tapped his fingers on the table unsure of what was going to happpen next.

she sighed softly closing her eyes

James glanced at Rebecca, "Do the waiters come to us orrrr?"

she nodded " they'll be here shortly "

"Oh, okay," James replied unsure and wary of the whole experience. There weren't, diners, when he wasn't king and more free.

" my dad and I used to come here…before he died" she said

"So this place means something to you," James said calmly.

she nodded with a soft, weak smile

James was unable to smile back, but he nodded consolingly.

the waiter walked over smiling at Rebecca, he was about her age " hey Becca you look beautiful today" he said. Rebecca blushed looking up at him " Thanks Calum "

Oh great, a flirt. James thought, however it seemed Rebecca knew the man so he would let it slide.

She smiled at the man as he took her order

James didn't like or know why this strange feeling was coming over him. It wasn't good though.

The waiter looked at James asking him what he wanted

"Oh, nothing for me," James replied seeing the waited wanted him to order.

he nodded smiling at Rebecca before walking away

Jame looked over at Rebecca, "Are you two friends?"
